BJ will win the first two rounds of the fight against GSP. GSP will take over in the third and fourth. BJ will be submitted or TKO'ed in the fourth or fifth round. BJ's lack of conditioning is legendary. ..Take a look at BJ at the end of the third round against Sherk...he is completely gassed. Although Sherk was taking a whoopin up to that point, I beleive if he did come out for the fourth, the result might be much different. :ph43r:

BJ will be ready for this fight ... if he's not training properly, he will be gassed after one round with GSP.

But I see GSP knocking out BJ in the first round. Of course, I'm the biggest GSP rube out there, so take that with a grain of salt.

a few things.
1. The fact that BP called some guys boners made me laugh immensly at desktop publishing today. (i even got yelled at.)
2. Lyoto does need to turn up the wick if he ever plans on moving up into the true elite of 205. I just love playing the jerk. If the Yanks and Twins are playing, i cheer for the Yanks, even though i could care less of who wins in running and catching a little white ball.
3. BJ will gas if he doesnt train ALOT. He gasses normally, but against GSP, HE'S FINISHED!
4. Thats the second post in the last 48 hrs that said, "take it with a grain of salt" or whatever... nice.

Just the normal intellectual knowledge from CD. :D

Duster, Duster, Duster ... now don't be getting me in trouble. Next thing you know I'll have the Stewy teachers all over me! As long as coach K is not after me, I suppose I'll be OK.

Now, I'll try to address a few of your rambling thoughts ...

As for Spider, I don't see anyone beating him at 85. The only way it happens is if he starts getting bored. I mean, did you see those clips of him from tomorrow's TUF??? Seriously, that guy could kick my head off, and I wouldn't see it coming until my head was on the mat. Honestly, him getting bored is the only thing I'd be worried about if I'm Dana White. I think it's already happening, hence the cup of coffee at 205.

I'll always be a GSP fan, but I'm willing to admit Spider and GSP are the best two fighters on the planet. Faber is in the mix, Penn is in the mix, but I'll take GSP and Silva.

Duster, were you talking about Paulo Filho in the WEC? Not sure if that's who you were talking about, but I'm not sure where his head is at. He may be a little Brandon Vera/Rampage like. Filho's jiu-jitsu is sick, and he's very strong. But he was sloppy in his last fight, and since then, well everyone has already addressed his mental issues. Hopefully he'll be back and better than ever. But Spider would knock him out ... he wouldn't bother going to the mat with him (unless, of course, he was bored and looking for a challenge).

I like to argue just for the sake of arguing, too, Duster. So you're not alone.

HS football on Wednesday does stink, but at least you don't have to go to school for a few days. I'll be at a HS football game missing, TUF, too. And I'll be at a brutal game between teams that are 2-5 and 1-6. Ugh!

And what's with your Rockstar Punched fix???

No more "grain of salt" posts for me. I'm just used to the UG forum ... where you get savaged by someone no matter what you post. Kind of nice on here ... a little more friendly.

Before you know it, you'll be in the wrestling room!!!

Duster ... I forgot your comment about Junie. Yes, he's skilled and probably the best fighter on TUF this season. But there's no place for an idiot like that in MMA right now.

The stakes are too high. People already think the fighters and fans are a bunch of redneck idiots who only love the violence. We have so much to overcome for people to truly "accept" this sport. We don't need a guy like Junie setting us back and giving the MMA haters ammo and reason to believe their own stereotypes.

I say no Junie!!! He should go after last week's crap.

If he gets his life together, Dana will bring him back in a heartbeat.

I only see Bj Penn only to win one round. I am a fan of him, but GSP is just an all around better fighter from my views. i could see them trying to put on a show being Bj is up a weight from his usual. But i still don't think that will be a factor when it comes time to brawl

haha, well, yes, FILHO! THATS IT!
That cat had like, alcoholism or something didn't he?
thought it was him and that Chael Sonnen cat going at it soon...
but either way, Spider needs to have some challenge... GSP goes up, and that could be a DECENT fight...
Who you going to watch tomorrow night?
I get to rock the sideline as we hopefully hold up our 4th seed bid for sections... (im a total BAMF on the sidelines...)(actually, i throw up gang signs.)
I absolutely LOVE rockstar Punched... the best energy drink ever invented... atleast 1 a day since end of freestyle last spring... and im paying for it now lol.
I need to get in that room more often and work all this weight off, bro...
Junie... I love him, I hate him...
grrr...
I see him getting kicked off, and then fightin at the finale as some "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" by the best climactic rise man i know DANA, and then owning some sukka... The opposite of JT$...
and unlike JT, he'll stay in the UFC.

Most of us are friendly... but some are ruthless...
just be lucky your not a N00B lol.

I cover Austin for our Austin edition (the P-B puts out a separate Austin paper every day). So I'll be at Austin vs. Albert Lea. Ugh. It's been a brutal stretch for my Austin squad ... but at least I'm at a game every Friday night.

You think you're tough on the sidelines, you should see me down there. Other media types are jumping out of the way, meanwhile i'm lowering my shoulder, hoping for some contact. HA!

I'd love to see filho back on top of his game. Because he is a guy who could challenge at 185. Striking, maybe not. But on the ground, he can roll with anyone.

Before we know it, Duster will be wrestling at 215!

I was kind of feeling for Junie, but then he totally blew it by jumping in the cage. He's gotta go!

hahaha... i'm imagining you lowerin the shoulder...
Filho has sick jits... but with those two rolling around down in FLAWDA...
who knows man...
If i get to 215 before senior year, im gonna actually start starving...
i measured it today, that i got like 25 to lose haha...
just crazy crap down here...

Mir is PISSED at Junie... So we got Mir vs. Junie in a Grappling match...
and Silva vs. Dana for the rights to the UFC...
THEN i'd skip football haha.

MOUSASI!
MAYBE HE COULD GIVE SPIDER A SHOT!
just got picked up by Affliction after owning at that Dream Tournament...
so after he cleans house there... (rumored to be fightin Vitor Belfort while Fedor takes Barnett at Affliction 2... with the addition of Dan Lauzon vs. Chris Horodecki, that could be a very nice card.)
Affliction vs. UFC showdown card.
HWT Tourney UFC Winner vs. Fedor.
Mousasi vs. Anderson Silva
UFC LWT vs. Horodecki/Lauzon winner...? (dont know many LWT's in Aff)
Matt Lindland vs. (Top UFC 185er...)
Tito vs. Dana (barenuckle boxing to the death, winner gets all the loser's money)
Kimbo Slice vs. Brock Lesnar... (assuming Kimbo could get on a 1 fight UFC contract :) )
Arlovski vs. Barnett
Lyoto Machida vs. Forrest Griffin (title fight)

yehhhh
some realistic... some just bored really haha...

Matt Lindland vs Wandy Silva B)

Two dream match ups...I hope this happens before they are all out of their prime.

Machida would beat Forest...in a boring 5 round snooze fest. <_<

Too bad these are all dreams ... and that's exactly what they'll stay.

Unless Dana is getting 100 percent of the money, it won't happen any more. The days of a PRIDE guy meeting a UFC guy are long gone. Dana is too gready now.

Honestly, I don't think any of the UFC's heavyweight could touch Fedor anyway. That includes Randy!

Dana has done a great job with the UFC...
but i still wanna slap him across the face.

True story, Fedor would slaughter any UFC Champ... even Nog...
Weren't Tito and Dana supposed to fight once, but one supposedly chickened out?
That should happen, in the cage...
Joe Rogan could train Dana, and Tito, well... Jenna can train him (after me).

But on topic. Tonight should be some good fights... USA! USA! USA!
Where's Matt Hamil? Haha!

You want to train Tito? Isssh.

As for tonight, I'm getting excited. I have to make sure I'm sitting down by 8:00.

I forgot they were replaying UFC whatever last weekend and I missed the first part and the Brock Lesnar fight. I really enjoyed GSP v. Fitch. One of the more entertaining 50-43, 50-44, 50-44 fights I've ever seen. :D

Bonus updates are in!!!

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templa...=7381&zoneid=13

BIRMINGHAM, England – The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out its usual post-fight awards following UFC 89 in Birmingham, England on Saturday night. The winners of each "of the Night" award also took home a bonus check worth $40,000 U.S., a UFC official informed MMAWeekly.com

As billed, Chris Lytle and Paul Taylor went toe-to-toe for the course of their three-round battle. At the end, it was Lytle that scored a unanimous decision victory, but both fighters went home with some extra pay for their extra efforts in the Octagon, winning the Fight of the Night award.

It was definitely a rough night for Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, who was finished via TKO by Luiz Cane in the second round of their bout. Cane dropped Sokoudjou with a flurry and finished him off with successive punches on the ground, scoring the Brazilian a $40,000 bonus check for Knockout of the Night.

(UPDATE)
MMAWeekly.com initially announced that Marcus Davis was taking home Submission of the Night honors for the guillotine choke that he used to end Paul Kelly's night in their main card fight. After further clarification, we made an error; it was Jim Miller that was actually the fighter the UFC determined to receive the Submission of the Night award and $40,000 bonus.

Miller submitted David Baron in their preliminary bout with a rear naked choke. It was Miller's Octagon debut and he made it in style taking home the UFC 89 Submission of the Night and $40,000 bonus.

UFC 89 AWARDS AND BONUSES
(Each fighter received a $40,000 bonus.)

UFC 89 FIGHT OF THE NIGHT:
-Chris Lytle vs. Paul Taylor

UFC 89 KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT:
-Luis Cane

UFC 89 SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT:
-Jim Miller

1. I still despise Bisping... Bisping coaching TUF may make me NOT wanna watch free MMA for a change... but nonetheless, he is declared the winner, and nothing can be said for it.
2. Jardine is a cooky fighter... i just don't wanna say awkward like they did a million times. Jardine IS the real deal. Vera was some special Muay Thai guy as XHD pointed out, and he outstriked (outstruck?) him...
3. Sokodjou... has the skillz, has the muscles... but what is going on???
4. I aced the Lytle fight... but Paul Taylor and him both came to brawl... great fight!
5. Marcus Davis could be a future WW contender... I didn't check his age, but i dont think his fights are numbered if he continues to dominate on the feet, and develop his great jits further...

I personally didn't think that Jardine won that fight. The reason Rogan said "awkward" at least 30 times during the fight is because Jardine is truly painfull to watch. He limps around the ring like he is 60 years old, not pretty to watch.

1. Duster should be thinking about football and trying to figure out a way to beat the Lancers.

2. Cane is the real deal ... I told you!! Dude is good, and his potential at 205 is through the roof. How about this fight Duster ... Machida vs. Cane. I love it. Very similar styles, if you ask me. Would be a sick fight ... or boring for some people!

3. Jardine is what he is. He throws strikes from crazy angles, and surprises the crap out of people with the power in his hands. His record at this point speaks for itself ... love him or hate him, he's beaten some of the best the sport has to offer.

4. Sokodjou sucks.

5. Lytle vs. Taylor looked like a bar fight, but it was fun to watch. Nothing technical about that. Just two guys throwing down and never backing up.

6. Bisping did look a lot like Kenny "I finish fights" Florian ... he ran and ran and ran until he got the win. Of course, it was the perfect game plan for Leben. I can't fault him for that. He did what he had to do to get a win against a guy with a puncher's chance. I have more of a problem with Florian doing it ... because he's the same douche who jumped on the mic after a fight and yelled "I finish fights! Who wants to see fights finished at 155?? I finish fights!!!" Then he goes in against Huerta and does nothing to "finish" the fight. Again, it was the perfect game plan, and he did exactly what he had to do. But don't grab the mic and yell you finish fights ever again! As for Bisping, I'm kind of excited now. They'll throw him in there against Hendo or Rampage, and he'll get destroyed! Wooo hooo!

7. Davis will never be a welterweight contender. He'd get eaten alive by the top guys at 70. Diego, Kos, GSP, Fitch, they'd all overwhelm him.

1. Yes i should... tomorrow night will hopefully be vastly different.
2. If that happens bro, i'll throw a fit haha.
3. Jardine pwns nukkaz man... no matter if he looks like a complete dip$#!T
4. Bisping-Hendo/Franklin winner on next TUF 9 UK vs. USA... as for KenFlo... grrrrr
5. Touche on the Davis remark.

Not so sure if Sokodjou sucks...but he needs to learn how to expend less energy at the beginning of his fights. He was throwing some incredible kicking and punching combinations at the beginning of the fight...but you saw him quickly fading once the fight got into the third minute.

Jardine will never beat either Chuck of Forest again....period.

If Florian gets his a$$ kicked next week...all will be right with the world...but I somehow seem him doing the running man...just like in his fight against Huerta. I truly hate when guys fight not to lose rather than fighting to win.

The Lytle and Taylor fight was incredible...if you get a chance, go to sherdog and look at the picture of Talylor connecting with a left that appears to be knocking Lytle's jaw clear off his face. Taylor fight's have garnered fight of the night on 3 separate occassions...me thinks he will be around for awhile.

Marcus Davis has totally changed the way he fights since his stint on TUF. You are probably right on about Fitch, Diego, Kos, and GSP...but I believe he is closing ground quickly...his clock may be running out however.

Wasn't Davis the one who said he was done after his first loss on TUF? His clock already ran out once then by his own admission, but for some reason Dana gave him another chance. Also, I think Vera needs to rethink his decision to drop to 205. Better off against the bigger slower HWTs.

I think you have Marcus Davis confused with someone else...He lost to Joe Stevenson on TUF...then put togehter a 5 win streak in the UFC until he lost to Mike Swick...All his fights have been incredible as of late.

Vera won the fight...I am not suire what the judges were watching.

They were most likely watching either :
A. The fight where Jardine beat Vera with an annoying stance and power. OR
B. Some cute ring girls wrestling in mud.

I think Jardine one, but my narrow margin.

I think Bisping won, was pretty intense watching that fight considering my wager, but I was confident in Lebens ability to let his face get mashed. Corrupt English judges helped me make my decision.

Davis is a beast, he should be very close to the top 10, may be even in it. I think he will get beat pretty handily by Kos or Fitch, but I think he could beat Diego though.

Missed the Lytle fight, heard it was tight though.

Sokoudjou got it bad, I was hoping he was gonna win.

I am pretty sure Marcus Davis lost on TUF 2 and said he was done fighting because he was too old. Nice resurrection.
