I think its obvious that reality TV is what saved the UFC.....It was a last resort decision that worked extremely well. The first seasons cast was incredible; there was all sorts of drama; and the finale with Forest and Bonner couldn't have been a better fight.

Unfortunately, the new model seems to exclude those who were not associated with the TUF show(s)....The UFC needs to figure out how to get the Ryo Chonan's, Joe Doerkson's, Spencer Fisher's, Tyson Griffins, Dan Henderson's, Jeremy Horn's, Nate Marquart's, Antonio Nogueira's,Chael Sonnen's, Sam Stout's, and Sean Sherks of the sport the recognition they deserve. They are the pioneers of the sport; yet it seems like the UFC does very little to give them the publicity they deserve.

The majority of the viewers have been drawn into liking the sport because of the TUF series...many of them don't understand what a great fight Sherk and Griffin will put on...they don't know who they are..

HBO does a cool thing prior to the Delahoya fights...it’s a four week series that covers their training....lets you meet the people who surround them on a daily basis. I know the UFC puts on an abbreviated version of this just prior to the fight; but I think they should spend an entire month using the HBO model to do this.

I think the next step for the UFC is to join forces with a big player like HBO...Spike TV served its purpose...they need to think bigger.
