Diaz/Guida fight of the night. Hate Diaz's stand-up but can take a punch or two before getting it to the ground where he looks like Gumby. Seriously, no way a guy should bend like that.

GSP is a machine, but I really don't think you can count out Penn. He's been in the war's and I don't think he is going to tire enough not to be a factor in rounds 3, 4, and 5.

For the record I hope Fitch becomes the hottest fighter in the UFC. I still think it was BS the way he was treated and glad to see him back in the UFC. Seems a little crappy that Dana White was so quick to blast a guy just looking out for his best future interests when he wouldn't bend to his initial demands. Those kind of "strong arm" tactics are going to find the UFC fighting for life if more fighters down the road would decide to leave for a young upstart company looking to compete in what appears to be a pretty bright future in MMA.

Some fuel for the fire... Dana already seems to be hyping my boy Machida...

Title Shot's looking good after the bombardment against Thiago.

Aloha from Hawai'i. My brother Joey and I are en route to Hilo where we will be helping Penn for the next few weeks. I'm going to make sure to tell him that my people in MN are doubting his hand being raised at the end of the fight. That might put a little more fire under him! ha ha. It's definitely going to be a great fight, and I can't wait to watch it. I'm a bit biased, but Penn will win! ;)

Much Respect!

This mn boy is all Pen ill pick a fighter over an athlete anyday

TBowling- Not sure about the whole Team Quest-MN thing. I'll tell my bro to jump on here and discuss that. I believe it's still in the works. A few snags here and there, but gradually coming together. Oh, and I tried calling BJ to pass your words to him, but I got his voicemail... sorry ;) ha ha

I can't wait to watch this fight... It's gonna be great!

I'm watching the fight at BJ's gym with some of the locals here... I should walk in with a "Go GSP" sign... I definitely wouldn't be walking out though ;)

Much Respect...

A Team Quest gym in Eagan? That does sound pretty cool...

St-Pierre is gonna get awful bloody tonight after beating BJ's face in...
Hope he doesn't like it off himself, or get it all over that fancy Affliction shirt! :D

I smile every time I think about the fight. What a beat-down. Seriously, BJ Penn looked frightened. He was picked apart and abused, pretty much the exact opposite of what BJ stated would happen. I think both my wife and I were shaking before the fight, nervous GSP might go down. But GSP looked as good as he ever has. Best athlete on the planet!

It was a great night overall. Fights in Roch were OK, at best. They promised Chad Reiner, then offered him so little money he turned down the fight (that's what happens when promoters don't talk to the fighters about pay until the week of the fight). Only eight fights happened. Only Hansen's fight made it out of the first round. Four fights in and I don't think a fight made it out of the first minute.

As I thought, Brandon Adamson was light years ahead of Bruce Johnson. Adamson is such a great striker. I'd love to see him in there against Perzynski in April ... complete contrast of styles. If Adamson could keep it standing, he'd probably win. If not, I'd go with Care Free Perzynski.

Not many true highlights from the card, other than Perzynski's win over Jay Ellis.

Travis Wiuff is huge, by the way. He took his time, then put a beating on Steve Pilkington. Give Pilkington credit ... he was absolutely demolished on the ground but would not tap. I can still hear those elbows landing on his forehead ... ouch!!!

The GSP win made up for any letdowns I witnessed at the Roch show!

Some fuel to the fire. Looks like GSP was greased up. Not that it mattered.
