Would it be Lesnar? Emelianenko? St. Pierre? Penn? Bruce Lee? Alexander Karelin? The most complete fighter throughout history would have been Bruce Lee with Karelin close behind. |

Ken Shamrock? I remember watching UFC back in the day, I don't remember him winning many fights?! I remember he got put into a Superfight, like after his 1st fight, and then suddenly he became a legend... my opinion he is over rated. Terrible on his feet and really was not that good on the ground, always went for the knee bar, which he rarely got to work. Sorry about going off, but Royce was the man back in the day! |

I agree with your assessment of Ken Shamrock. he really never impressed me...I think his fight with Royce(the second most boring fight ever, next to the garbage he served up with Severn in their second match up) is what catapulted him into legendary status. Royce, at the time, was considered unbeatable, so fighting to a draw was considered a win.. I believe Don Frye was truly the first cross trained athlete to begin dominating the MMA scene. :ph43r: |

Lol he could be if he stays undefeated and dominates all his competition. I stick to Rickson Gracie. He's never been beaten and he's had over 400 matches. He's incredible. |

Don Frye.... I really liked him! The guy was a heavy hitter and hit a lot, I believe he defended his legs well. The real Magnum P.I. of MMA! |

Yes, Duster ... saying Machida is the most dominant is like bringing up Brock Lesnar at this point in his career! Rickson Gracie is a great choice. I'll stick with him if we're talking all-time dominance. Speaking of dominant, you guys see Luis Cane vs. Jardine is set for Montreal. It will be a decent test for my boy Cane. But I see him dropping Jardine in the second round! |

400?? :o I don't think you call Brazilian beach brawls legitimate MMA fights... http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Rickson-Gracie-292 It would have been great to actually see him compete against some talent...otherwise it is just pure speculation. |

I think Royce was the man. And Anderson Silva in the mix? Not that I would put im in there just looking for feedback since he is so dominant. |

Sherdog is not the official stat holder lol Rickson Gracie has fought well over 400. That's not all ultimate fighting. Many of that is judo tournaments. I think Rickson Gracie vs Fedor Emelianenko would be a good match right now, and Rickson is 50 years old haha Go Rent the movie choke. It's Rickson Gracie. Even the announcer annouces his record there at like 405-0 and he wrestles incredible jiu-jitsu fighters guys with undefeated records that have competed more than 100 times. Rickson would handle Royce without a problem. Royce has even admitted to it in interviews. |

...they also made the announcement about Mario "Zen Machine" Sperry during EF 1 - Extreme Fighting 1 that Sperry's win/loss record was 300 and 0...and then he proceeded to get his a$$ handed to him by Igor Zinoviev.. Don't get me wrong...I have a lot of respect for the Gracie family...it was them that got the ball rolling...but the 400 matches claim is just a little too much... He would have to have fought weekly for 7 and 1/2 years for this to be true.... 400 divided by 52 equals 7.7 YEARS...math doesn't lie. |

Anderson Silva, hands down. Undefeated the last 3 years(minus the DQ) with 9 of 12 wins by KO. The best fighter @ 185 and probably would be the best @ 215 if he chose to fight that weight. |

Ok, I will agree 100% with Deeds. This is a no contest kind of question. For those on here that don't know what they are talking about should really do research and I will admit that may be tough. All the sites today that you can go to are not only biased but have financial gains by who they talk about in some cases. I suppose this is hard to believe, but it is true. Rickson Gracie was a phenom and still is in his respective sport. I have spoken with some who have rolled with him and the recounts of his abilities is incredible. As far as Royce goes you should read what he has to say on Rickson. He has said that Rickson is 10 times the fighter as he was. Just a note on Royce. Royce in his day was pretty tough he handled all comers in the UFC not just at his weight. I remember Matt Hughes beating him and so many people impressed. I was impressed yes, but not to the extent that I think Matt was the better fighter. Matt fought an aging fighter. Matt could not have beat some of the guys Royce handled. Just picture Matt overpowering Severen (right) Anyway back to Rickson... I will say in his day he was the man hands down and in todays standards he is the man and tomorrow he will still be the man. You guys on here want him to compete at 50 and if he loses the fight that proves he wasn't (i don't think so) I will say this if he actually ever even fought his own weight class he would do well I would be on him against anderson Silva right now. Damian Maia would get his --- handed to him by Rickson in todays game and I think that should say alot. More later |

I am not arguing about how good Rickson was...everyone who has followed the sport from the beginning understands that Rickson was considered the best Gracie out there.... :ph43r: My problem is with the claim of being 300 and 0...it insults my intelligence... Like I said, he would have had to fought weekly for 7 1/2 years to get that record...you got to admit that's a little far fetched, don't ya? <_< ...and remember, the Gracies were involved in full blown Vale Tudo matches..that means kicks to the groins, eye gauges and head butts were fair game....you mean to tell me a guy is going to heal up in 1 week to fight the very next week...for a period of seven and a half years??? <_< Just think about it.... |

Brock has a long way to go! GSP has proven himself and we will see a great fight at the end of the month between him and BJ Penn. Brock we will never really know, the two best heavyweights are not even in the ufc (fedor and andre) as well as many others. The ufc heavyweight div. is sub par and has alot of washed up fighters. lets see what happens in the future! GSP or Fedor are the best pfp fighters now. |

Arlovski is definitely not the 2nd best heavyweight out there. No doubt I really actually like him as a fighter but he is not 2nd best. I'd pick Brock over Arlovski. |

Wow, i know this is MN... but Brock may be getting just a tad too much respect on here... Would most dominant qualify as a Pound for Pound dispute? 1. Georges St-Pierre 2. Anderson Silva 3. Fedor Emaliuenko (i never spell that #*%$in name right.) 4. BJ Penn (i hate to admit this.) 5. MAYBE Brock Lesnar... toss up here... but close in all sorts.. That, of course, is for the current fighters... I don't know much about the Gracie family trade except like, 2 of them have red belts, which is insanely tough to get, and they all roll like ninjas... and please dont ever bring Ken Shamrock up again... he got his handed to him against Tito Ortiz more then once... and my boy LYOTO THE DRAGON MACHIDA took Tito out... Insto-facto, Lyoto is in the talk. :D |

I think you will be surprised next week how good andre is. I really dont think brock is even close to being able to compete at the level of fedor or andre. Dont get me wrong maybe in a couple of years but beating a guy in his 40's, a marginal fighter Herring and getting tapped out by Mir give me a break. I want him to crush people but he is not at the elite level yet. Im sure that this will be proven soon. |

Brock is good, and going to get better, but part of the reason he looks so dominant in his latest matches is because the heavyweight division is the weakest it's been in a very, very long time |

you are so funny!!! I like you optimism, but the facts are he has only beaten one tough dude. You make it sound like he has beaten up everyone. Fact he got tapped out by Mir! Even if he beats Mir he would get KO by fedor!!!! |

he freakin put randy to sleep his 3rd fight in the ufc ... the fight before that he broke a mans face in half... randy would spankkkkkk arlofski.. thats why arlofski fights over there in pride ..ufc wants more exciting fighters.. he holds everything back in his fights and is afraid to get hit.. don't beleive me then watch a couple of his fights.... and dude c'mon frank mir got saved by the ref.. he was getting his butt spanked and the whole world knows he got as lucky as a fighter can get.. and if he fought fedor the chances are fedor would win but what if brock breaks his face bone first punch of the fight and brock will take fador down if hes in the zone and wants to. |

I get it you are a fan of Brock! But he did get beat by Mir that is a fact! Fact #2 he did break Herrings face but, he could not ko a sub par fighter with a broken face. Fact #3 he beat randy up but, the guy had to eat like a beast to even get his weight over 220. If he were to fight a guy like Fedor he would tap in the first 2 min. I like brock to and would like nothing else for him to be the super hero you think he is but please, he needs a couple of years and alot better competition before he is ranked even in the top 10 of all time. |
