Anderson Silva is overrated. No doubt he is a great fighter, but he is beatable and I don't think he deserves to be in the top 5 of all time fighters.

I am not arguing about how good Rickson was...everyone who has followed the sport from the beginning understands that Rickson was considered the best Gracie out there.... :ph43r:

My problem is with the claim of being 300 and 0...it insults my intelligence...

Like I said, he would have had to fought weekly for 7 1/2 years to get that record...you got to admit that's a little far fetched, don't ya? <_<

...and remember, the Gracies were involved in full blown Vale Tudo matches..that means kicks to the groins, eye gauges and head butts were fair game....you mean to tell me a guy is going to heal up in 1 week to fight the very next week...for a period of seven and a half years??? <_<

Just think about it....

Well he hasn't been competing for 7 years. He's been competing for over 30 years.

Back in the day when you used to be able to head butt guys in the face when they were down - Dan Severn was pretty awsome. There was also a russion guy in that era that had a mean head butt although I can't remenber his name at this time. Royce Gracie for his size has to be in the mix for best all time pound for pound!

Well he hasn't been competing for 7 years. He's been competing for over 30 years.

That means he was fighting every month....where were these fights being held? And his claim to 300 fights was back in the 90's...so I guess his fight total is up to a 1000 by now....please. <_<

I believe the Russian you are referring to is Oleg Taktarov....

Matt Hughes should be mentioned. He has held that belt up a few times in his day!

Yes, Matt Hughes should be rigtht up there...out of 14 title defenses he lost twice....once to BJ Penn and to GSP; and he beat both of these guys at least once before.

Cmon guys the post was MMA fighter of all time.

Maybe we should have said really good fighters or great fighters, but of all time... Some of these posts are not even close.

You have to rank Hughes right up there...14 title defenses; 12 of them successfully. Many of the new guys "potentially" could rank on the "of all time" list, but have they truly fought enough or long enough?
