I was reading an article on MMAJUNKIE and noticed that Jacob Volkman is slated to meet Martin Kampmann at UFC 108 on Jan 2. From the looks of it, Jacob will be on Spike TV The current official fight card for UFC 108 includes: MAIN CARD •Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva •Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett •Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout •Duane Ludwig vs. Jim Miller*•Junior Dos Santos vs. Gilbert Yvel PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV) •Martin Kampmann vs. Jacob Volkmann* •Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller PRELIMINARY CARD (Un-aired) •Rafaello Oliveira vs. John Gunderson* •Steve Cantwell vs. Vladimir Matyushenko •Ryan Jensen vs. Mark Munoz •Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle * - Not officially announced Kampmann, a former top middleweight contender who defeated Alexandre Barros and Carlos Condit after a drop to welterweight, looks to rebound from a disappointing TKO loss to UFC newcomer Paul Daley at UFC 103. Volkmann, meanwhile, fights for future in the organization after suffering a decision loss to Paulo Thiago in his UFC debut last month at UFC 106. It was the first loss of his career. Volkmann's striking looks much improved. I would have loved to see him get out of the first round. 2 very tough opponents right out of the shoot for Volkmann, hopefully he gets another chance. |

Striking looked very much improved! He just needs to remember not to drop his other hand and leave himself wide open for return fire! |

Striking was average at best. You cant win punching with just your arms.
