I know big Nog is getting old, but Velasques destrouyed him last saturday. Does anyone else want to see him do the same to Mir or is it just me? In my opinion they are the two best hwts. in the ufc behind lesnar.

I'd love to see him beat up on Mir, but hopefully Mir gets beat up by Carwin first.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cain vs. Mir. Cain really impressed me on Saturday. I agree that Mir losing to Carwin would probably be the fastest route to seeing Cain vs. Mir, but Cain might also face the winner of Dos Santos vs. Gonzaga. Only time will tell I guess.

Yet, Brock is the a$$hole to most people outside of Minnesota and the Dakotas

I truly hope that Mir vs Carwin takes place....it would be great seeing Mir pull guard and then watch Carwin drop those lunch pales down on Mir's cute little Duck curls...Carwin over Mir by swollen face..

Mir vs. Carwin is happening. In less than a month. Unless you're talking about Mir vs. Cain.

I want Mir to move on for a rubber match with Lesnar. That would be epic. Mir has gained 20 pounds of muscle since their last meeting and absolutely flattened Cheick Kongo.

I want you to think about what you just posted....He has put on 20 lbs of muscle since their last meeting...First of all that is virtually impossible...even for someone who is on the gas...

...and truly do you think increasing his bench press is going to help Mir against Brock...Please..

The result of the second fight is what "should" have happened in the first fight...Mir caught him in that "pansy" ankle lock...At least man up and catch him in an arm bar, or one of thousands of chokes that are part of the BJJ arsonal....

If Mir is going to beat Brock it will not be by out muscling him, or putting on 20 lbs of muscle and beating him at his own game...it will be honing is BJJ skills and figuring out how to get Brocks gigantic frame off of him...creating space and using some of these "so called" BJJ skills that he has....

Actually, I hope Mir comes in with the mind set that he can match power with Brock...but to his credit, I know he isn't that stupid...

Okay maybe 20 pounds is a bit of a stretch, but even an accomplished BJJ fighter such as Mir is going to have a tough time keeping a guy that size off of him. Also as you said. Sure you can be an amazing ground guy wrestling or jiu jitsu but if you have someone that big on top of you it will null atleast SOME of your skills preventing most movement you are capable of with someone of an equal stature.

Mir bulking up will not help him. Brock will still be bigger and he still has that "wrestling strength" that can't be measured with dumbells or bench/squat maxing

I think Cain V could knock the snot out of Mir. He would run him out of gas. Kongo is so one dimensional get him on the canvas and he does not have squat.

Who do you guys think would win? Velazquez or Junior Dos Santos? Assuming Dos Santos beats Gabriel Gonzaga

That would be a barnburner. Both guys are undefeated, right? I could see that happening sometime this summer.

Notice how I dodged the initial question :P

Velazquez or Junior Dos Santos....man that's a tough one to call....I don't think we have seen Dos Santos rocked during a fight, so its hard to gauge his chin toughness....This one would be to close to call. :$

I remember Mir dropping Kongo with a nice left hand.

im not disagreeing with you gys that brock will beat mir again but dont forget that brock did lose alot of weight that could be muscle during his sickness so i wouldnt expect brock to be able to just muscle him around as much as he did in the first two bouts. but i do hate mir and like lesnar im just trying to put up some points.

He said in an interview that he had gained most of it back already. That was in January i believe so i am sure he is up to his normal weight. People often talk about Mir getting bigger or Mir improving his stand up. I think we often forget that Brock hasn't been doing MMA for very long. He has improved a lot with each fight and will continue to get better in every area.

That is a very good take....Mir has been doing this forever...he has pretty much capped out his potential...This is still very new to Brock, so you know that the sky is the limit...
