Jon Jones made short work of Brandon Vera tonight, displaying impressive wrestling and ground game, ending the fight with a viscious elbow to Vera's cheek followed by several bombs. He is living up to the hype, so one has to wonder, who is he going to fight next? My buddies and I threw some names around during and after the fight, and this is what we came up with:

I'd personally like to see him fight Bader. Both guys are young, exciting, and explosive fighters. That could be a very exciting fight. What do you guys think?

I voted little nog because he is a tough guy and an outstanding striker. I think that would be the next step up for Jones. After that if he wins I'd say he should get a shot at machida shogun loser. I mean its jon bones friggin jones! His wrestling absolutely outstanding and his striking is most definately not something you want to underestimate.

Those elbows are gonna kill somebody, they are razor sharp and he swings them like baseball bats.....he should get either griffin or thiago silva and then a title shot, or at least a #1 contender fight....... he probably wont want to fight evans because they train together......

I voted other,
I couldn't help but think that a fight with Anderson would be exciting. He would bring it and
Anderson is always at his best that way.

As far as the 205er's Machida would be interesting as well.

I would love to see Jones and Thiago Silva. I think this has the makings of an exciting and competative battle. I am curious as to how Jones would do against Machida too, but Silva is the matchup that I would really like to see. I expect that one would be total, none-stop offense and agression. A Machida matchup would be more or a chess-match.

Jones would do the same thing to Thiago that Rashad did.

I think Thiago Silva would be a great next fight for him....if he can get by him he's in the top 5...In my humble opinion.

Would love to see this kid fight Forrest. Forrest has proven that he can stand in there and take a beating and still get back up for the next round. Forrest would push Jones to the limit because it would be highly unlikely he would knock Forrest out.

i wouldn't mind watchin him and rampage go at it. both good wrestlers, would lean more towards jones. strinking both good, still maybe a little more towards jones. either way i think it would be a good fight to watch. ontop of it all if ramapage beats rashad and jones beats rampage theres your next title fight
