Im sorry, but it looked like GSP could have opened up a little. The fight was more of a mismatch than I had originally thought. If they have any more fights like that people are going to start to wonder. I also can't believe they booed Fitch and didn't boo the Main Event.

I wonder if they ever heard of the "sprawl" in England...I think GSP must have taken him down cleanly around 10 times...That arm bar was and Kimura would have finished anybody else...got to give the English guy credit...He's got heart.

yeah Hardy was tough as nails but that was no kind of contest.....I mean at some point Hardy should have just got into a wrestling stance.......just double after double, after single, after double........ the crowd is always stupid........meat head factor

I was on Sherdog a few days before the fights and there was a post about possible drinking games (you know, if you're in to that, not to mention of age) for UFC 111. One of them was taking a drink/shot/cup of water every time GSP took Hardy down. I had to laugh at that. That wouldn't have ended well for anyone :P

Hardy barely beat a bad performing Mike Swick, I think both Fitch and Koscheck would have layed a beating on him also, the guy has huge holes in his game when it comes to facing former wrestlers with an offense.

Dana White was talking smack about Hardy's sprawl but give him some credit GSP takes people down at will. Does anyone remember him outwrestling a certain Matt Hughes? Yeah Hardy's sprawl is probably par atleast with most UFC GSP's take downs are just far above par.

....and Josh Koscheck, Frank Trigg, Jon Fitch , Sherk, Mayham Miller, and BJ...made them all look very ordinary.

The only fight I am interested in seeing with GSP now is Anderson Silva....No one is in his league.

GSP definitely needs to work on his submissions. Very bad form. You can tell they don't work on it enough. How can you have a guy in perfect position and lose it. Give that to Demian Maia and Hardy taps instantly. It really hurt me to watch because I love GSP.

Not really a competitive fight at all. Dan Hardy is just not that good and just wasn't a good choice to fight GSP in any way, shape or form. #1 contenders are supposed to be able to do more than just survive.

I honestly think that at that point in the fight George was so dominant that he made a councious decision not rip hardy's arm off......I think he just decided that if this guy is seriously gonna just say break it, im not tappin....... then he deserves to keep his arm. Because clearly a little tug breaks that arm, he was in total control, and just decided it would be cruel and unusual pubishment to hinder his career going forward.

He says in the post fight interview that he was trying to break his arm, since Hardy wasn't going to tap.
