franky edgar put on a hell of a show and had great strategy wearing down penn. on another note what the heck happened to silva the last 2 1/2 rounds, looked like early on he could have ended it at will but was toying with maya.

Silva's match was a waste of time to watch, especially because I accidentally stumbled upon the results of it earlier in the day (the guys I went with and I decided not to look at the results since we were going to go watch the replay later that night). I do think Edgar won his fight, but the 50-45 the one judge gave him was ridiculous.

So the question is, what's next for Frankie? A rematch with Baby Jay? Florian? Maynard? Bueller?

It appears that Edgar is pushing for a rematch with Maynard....I think their last match turned out to be a wrestling match which Maynard won...

I think Edgar's strategy was pure genious....stick and move...stay away from the takedowns...if they are not their, bail out quickly and reestablish yourself on your feet.

I am certain that if Penn and Edgar ever fight again, you would see an entirely different strategy from Penn. I bet he would be quick to take Edgar down and use his BJJ experience to his advantage.

You just have to give props to Edgar though...great fight, great strategy.

I seriously dont think Frankie Edgar did enough to win the belt....if you sit there and count the punches landed (becasue its was a total boxing match), BJ kills for the first round or two.....then he starts to fade , but as a genral rule of thumb I just feel like you should have to really beat the man to be the champ......this was just like Shogun and Machida.......BJ should have retained, and Ill bet he finishes edgar in the rematch.....

Silva=Turd Wheres Dan Henderson when you need him? Oh yeah, on CBS
