Not important. Thought i'd tune in for gits and shiggles and watch the free prelims... caught the entire Garcia-Jung fight. My life is changed.
0 technique. 100% bomb-throwing madness. I'm usually not a huge fan of those kinda fights, but i enjoyed the hell out of it.
Jung pushed Garcia around the octagon, and knocked him down a couple times. Probably should've won the fight. However, Garcia backed up and picked him apart at many crucial times ala Machida-like almost? (minus the technique and urine-drinking).
I don't even know what to say, man. Jung mighta gotten screwed, and yes, Garcia came off to me as a total D-bag... but he put on a heck of a fight. All the seemingly-showy crap was backed up.

Goodness. B)

Also, the BS Kimbo interview before the fight... WHATTHEEFF! He's fighting WHO? Matt effing Mitrione or whatever his name is? Get off the guy's nuts, Joe Rogan/UFC... Why are they talking to him when Kos, Shogun, or more importantly MACHIDA could be getting an interview about a fight that matters!

also--- how many times did Kimbo say, "you know what i'm sayin?"

Aldo won 49-45, 49-45, 50-45. Complete domination. Faber pulled a Hendo and looked good for the first round then got dominated. Aldo's leg kicks are NASTY. Faber will be walking funny for a while. It would have been nice to see Aldo finish Faber off, but I don't think there's any arguing he's a top five pound-for-pound fighter.

It wasnt a close fight, two of the judges had the first round 9-9 because it was really just a feeling out round, nothing substantial was landed by either.....then from the seond round on it was all Aldo, just chopping the tree down. I hate to say Faber was outclassed, but thats definatly what it looked like.

Buenetello(sp?) and Jorgenson was a very good fight too. Jorg had to come back in the last two rounds to get the decision. I was surprised to see Mike Brown go down like that again, but I get the feeling it was kind of flukey...... I fell sorry for Gamburyan if they make him fight Aldo for the title, I dont think it would be close.
That Korean Zombie guy was awesome, he got hosed. The whole fight was like watching a JV wrestling match were the score is like 22-20 and both kids hit every move they try. I was a couple sheets to the wind when it aired after the Aldo fight so I was able to laugh myself into enjoying it.

Overall, I think it was a pretty good card. The WEC just never dissapoints, even when you havent heard of the fighters, it wnds up being a good fight. I was happy to pay money to watch the little guys. Hopefully the numbers come back good.

Do you actually know that for a fact or are you just guessing? Because I figured two of the judges gave Faber the first round, then gave Aldo the other four with a 10-8 in there somewhere (probably the third or fourth round if I had to guess). Then the other judge just gave Aldo 10-9 straight up each round.

Gamburyan is legit. He was a finalist on The Ultimate Fighter 5 before breaking his shoulder in the finals against Diaz. But I doubt anyone in this division stands a chance against Aldo (then again, I said that about the UFC lightweight division in December).

Ben Henderson is a beast. Can't think of too many more fights for him in the WEC. Him and Aldo would be a great fight.

Aldo is pure beast too. He has that DeSean Jackson speed. Nobody is on his level in terms of quickness. Faber just didn't have an answer and as soon has he lost his mobility he was just done. Gotta give the credit for sticking it out 5 rounds with that monster though.

I dont know that for a fact.....It's just what I figured from watching the first round....

Henderson couldnt beat Aldo...... I actually think Henderson is a little bit hype..... He'd probably get beat handily by most upperlevel UFC guys Maynard, Florian, ect....
