I'm definitely psyched for this card. I actually think Kimbo-Mitrione could be an all-out slugfest, so I'm looking forward to that fight as well. If I had to guess why Davis-Goulet is on the prelims, my first guess would be because Davis is 36 and Goulet hasn't fought since Fight for the Troops (where he got TKO'd in 33 seconds), and hasn't won in over two years.

The problem with the Sho gun dominating theory is the CHUTE guys typically ALWAYS have the same strategy. Look for a lot more of the same game plan with little or no changes, regardless as to how things are going. I believe Machida took him lightly last time...afterall, Shogun was on his way to be defeated in the Coleman fight....Coleman gassing at the end saved him. I think Machida almost losing the last fight has put the fear of God in him....look for an entirely new game plan...and a beat down that will be very similar to the GSP/Sierra beatdown that occurred in the rematch.. |

Yeah, there's no way this one goes to the judges. Then again, that's what I said about Silva vs. Maia. |

The Kimbo-Mitreone fight should be good, I agree. My preduction is both guys go all out in the first, both gass in the second and Mitrione finishes the fight late in the second. I hope Kimbo wins, but I am picking Matt M in this one Also, I see Machida finishing the fight this time - just a guess, this could be a war also |

I think Cote v. Belcher is going to be a good fight -- Belcher almost always ends up going punch for punch at some point in the fight. |

Well, I bombed in my fantasy league, but I was glad to see Shogun get the KO. Also, Paul Daley just out-tooled Josh Koscheck. For those of you who didn't see it, here's what happened. (this will probably get removed from youtube soon enough, but maybe not). Mitrione's leg kicks were nasty, I'll give him credit for that. |

Dana White announced in a post-fight press conference that Paul Daley has been banned for life from the UFC, stating "He'll never come back, I don't care if he's the best 170-pounder in the world. He's never coming back here. There's no excuse for that. You never hit a guy like that after the bell." Nice to see Big Dan and Dana step in and keep this from escalating like the I never thought I'd say this, but a good show of class by Koscheck ( :o :P ) to just walk away. |

Kudos to Kosh for being the bigger man. Even if he had just won it would be hard not to retaliate there. His bad boy image should go out the window there. Also I love the Canadiens booing him for doing what there wrestler does every fight. Man I hope he beats GSP. Mitione seemed ill in the head on TUF, but he has some natural skills. Wow Shogun, who woulda thought. And Johnny Henricks is the man http://www.mmafighting.com/2010/05/09/johny-hendricks-blames-bad-weight-cut-for-sluggish-win/ |

I just read this on a Yahoo site UFC president Dana White laid down the challenge to Internet phenom Kimbo Slice and the street fighter accepted it. Kimbo made it through his stint on Season 10 of "The Ultimate Fighter" and got two more fights with the promotion. Slice went 1-1 in the UFC after the reality show, including a bad loss tonight at UFC 113 against Matt Mitrione. The fight was so one-sided, the UFC president decided to give Kimbo his pink slip. "That's probably Kimbo's last fight in the UFC," said White. "Listen, Kimbo made it farther than I thought he would." |

Who cares? Kimbo is a joke. He would never have a chance for a run at a title or be able to beat a legit contender. And don't say Houston Alexander is a contender. |

Rule of thumb: If upsetting Keith Jardine is considered the highlight of your career, you're not a contender. |

Well played. That is the sound of crickets chirping.. :D I don't know about you guys, but I hope that the UFC mandates that Kos fights Hardy AFTTER he gets destroyed by GSP...you know there is bad blood there....and you know that Hardy now knows that his takedown defence was non existant when he fought GSP and is probably addressing it.... Do I hope that Hardy beats Kos...of course not....if it was up to me, the English and Brazilian guys would lose EVERY fight... Just one mans opinion. B) |

Jardine is even more over rated that Alexander....When "he's the guy who pinches his nipples before the fight" is the highlight of any conversation about him, its fair to say "over rated". |

Alright you got my Duster. But yeah Keith Jardine at this point isn't really a title contender. But you do never know in the LHWT division. Machida was the first person to actualy defend his title since Rampage had it and beat Hendo.. then losing to Griffin. |
