UFC 114 is coming up pretty quickly, on May 29th to be exact. To put it lightly, these two don't like each other. Those of you that watched the Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights know what I'm talking about. Rashad's team won seven of the eight first-round matchups, and made Rampage look pretty stupid. Rashad last fought against Thiago Silva in January, winning by Unanimous Decision. Rampage last fought in December, obliterating a door on the set of TUF with leg kicks before completely ripping it off its hinges :P I'm extremely excited for this fight and see it going one of two ways- Rampage rips Rashad's head off in the first or second round, or Rashad stays outside, uses a lot of leg kicks and wrestling, and grinds out a decision.

That having been said, I'm not terribly excited for the rest of this card. With Forrest Griffin off the card, Diet Nog's fight- now against Jason Brilz- becomes much less exciting. The rest of the card just doesn't blow me away. The two other fights I really want to see- Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim and Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon- are on Spike.

I don't know how everyone else feels, but I was growing a little tired of Rashad's gangster act on TUF...He obviously was raised in a mid to upper class family and knows nothing about the hood...I hope Jackson knocks Rashad's head clean off his shoulders....

prediction...Jackson by decapitation.

I did not care for Jacksons attitude towards the one participant that he picked on through the whole series. What a loser jerk. And I was a fan of Jacksons but not anymore. Hope rashad blows him out but I think it will be a close tough battle.

I'm feeling a knockout. I like Rashad. my thoughts are KO either way... Rampage is just too much of a tool.

I see knockout. I'd like to go as far and say Rashad Evans has this in the bag, but with these two fighters it really can go either way.

You know after watching the Spike hype yesterday showcasing each of their training I noticed the following.

Rashad is incorporating techniques that a truly old school...no fancy equiptment...nothing glamorous..road work....standard pad work...but is this good? He actually looked slow hitting the pads...not to impressive.

Rashad's camp seems a lot more organized...they seem to have access to almost every conceivable training periphial available to man...and Rashad also has Greg Jackson formulating his game plan. Rashad looked truly explosive during yesterday's show...Rampage..didn't....

Rampage just finished shooting a movie..came into camp 6 weeks ago weighing 257 lbs...now his camp is claiming he is at a ripped 220....there was nothing to suggest during the show yesterday that would leave you to believe that Rampage is even close to being ripped.

Watching Rashad throw leg kicks yesterday...yikes..he was absolutely lighting up that heavy bag....that was Rampage's downfall against Forrest...me thinks we will see a lot of those on Saturday night....

I think Rampage will win the first round....but Rashad will come back strong in the last two rounds...either winning by decision...or a late third round TKO...that will be setup by those brutal leg kicks.

OK, so now I am going to go change my vote to Evans. Only one more question, what shorts will they be wearing? I was thinking Rampage would have more color and logos on his so I voted that way.
