Very good. Got a good work out in. Kind of feel bad we had to kick out the Cheer leading team though. Oh well. Mishap in wrestling room times.

Mondays practice went great. We had a total of 22 kids that came in to battle. There was a variety of talent in the pool of 22: State Qualifiers-Section Placewinner- Kids USA participants and placewinners-Beginners. We hope that the talent pool will get larger as the summer goes on and kids can talk to one another about what nights they can make it in. Nothing is better then having 2-3 tough kids around your weight pushing you at each practice. The coach for these practices is Dan Boos. Dan was a 4x D3 AA, D3 National Champion, and a D1 AA for Luther College. He does a great job with the kids, and is still willing to get in the mix with the big guys. Here is a breakdown of who was there and who will be coming in on Wednesday.

The Eagan room will be open at 6:30 this Monday and Wednesday. We are probably looking at more younger kids this week as a result of the high school team being at team camp. Last Wednesday we had about 5 more younger kids from out of town show up. We wanted to thank the younger boys from Lake City, Lakeville, Farmington and Henry Sibley for showing up. We are hopeing that more will come this week. Summer Wrestling=Winter Champions.

We had a lot of great battles last night-Monday, July 12. We should see the numbers increase with summer baseball ending this week. Hopefully we can convince more kids that they need to put more time in on the mat. We had a group of four kids that have all won matches at USA state or have placed batteling it out. These kids all weighed around 70-80. We had a good group of 145 pounders going at it also that were from Eagan, Tartan, Rosemount and Lakeville. Two lighter kids in K and first were also in attendance. Next practice is Wednesday at 6:30. Hope you can make it. The heavier kids will be at football camp this week.
