A huge mistake many young wrestlers make every year is that they start wrestling with their team on the first day of practice, on the third Monday of November. They then wrestle their way into shape by the end of December or maybe even January. The first month of the season they suffer a few losses on their record that would have been wins had they been in shape from the start of the season. Start your wrestling season in mid-season form and turn those losses into wins!

Was just wondering if any wrestlers would be interested in attending pre-season practice to get ready for Pre-Season Nationals Tournament in Cedar Falls, IA?
I am working on the details for it. Currently I have Jason Adams(3x NCAA All American, State Champion, National Greco Champion, 4X All American) commited to run the practices.
I will post the information as we work out the details.
We know practices will be on Tuesdays, & we know wrestlers must have a current USA card. Practices will be around $5-$10 a practice.

Coon Rapids HS address is 2340 Northdale Blvd NW
I am told that the front doors are locked around 7, so you will have to enter on the east side.

We had 22 wrestler on the Sept. 21st so practices have been small enough not to need 2 coaches. So we are having Jason Adams Coach Tuesdays. & Dave Zuniga coach on Thursdays. Thats right we are now having 2 practices a week.

Jason is running practices like a college practice, so come & get into great pre-season shape.

How did last night’s practice go? I tried to get my kid to it but a last minute homework assignment changed the priority! Hopefully he will make the Thursday session!

Last night we had 23 wrestlers 14 High School wrestlers 9 Middle School.
All wrestlers were focused no-one screwing around, you could tell all wrestlers want to be there.
I think thursday's numbers will be less, do to fall sports. But should be just as good.

I had the opportunity to watch Dave Zuniga coach yesterday's practice....Wow....you just have to appreciate his attention to detail and his ability to teach a move so the wrestler actually understands "Why"..

it was a small but focused group yesterday....it would be great seeing the numbers increase.. Remember, practices are on Tuesday at 7:00 with Jason Adams and on Thursday at 7:00 with Dave Zuniga...
