There is a new business that has just begun right here in Minnesota. Private Lessons LLC wants to help young athletes reach their best ability and accomplish their highest goals. This business sets up young athletes (hs and middle school athletes) with private lessons from elite wreslters. These elite wrestlers work with your schedule to best find times to help instruct young ahtletes on workouts, weightlifting, and technique. It has been started by ex-gopher wrestler Matt Everson who has signed on a number of elite wrestlers. To name a few: Tyler Safratowich, Dustin Schlatter, and Nate Matousek. Jayson Ness may be joining the crew soon. For information, check out http://www.privatelessonsmn.com. Click on the sign-up tab and fill out the information to get started with Private Lessons. **Many persons are ready and available to work with young athletes ambitious and ready to take the next big step in becoming a champion. |

Matt, I notice that you mention nutrition on your webpage, have you considered marketing to teams/clubs to actually mentor the parents? I know all parents want to support their kids but not all understand how to go about it, especially in wrestling where weight management is to often just cutting weight for the matches rather than planning and executing for the entire season. I once commented to a former teammate of yours, Matt Mincey when he was in high school, that he had looked sluggish in a match and he explained that he usually weight 5 pounds over match weight during the week but he had gone up to 7 pounds over and it affected him. I don't think many athletes and certainly parents understand the consequences of yo-yoing, how it affects your body and can affect your matches, especially as the season progresses. Good idea here and good luck. |
