From the Bellator live blog at: http://blog.bellator.com/index.php/2010/10/14/bellator-32-live-results-cole-konrad-vs-neil-grove/

Konrad and Grove start out slow, feeling each other out. Grove is looking for the one punch that could stop Konrad dead in his tracks while Konrad is keeping Grove guessing on whether he’ll stand and throw or going underneath. Konrad works two or three jabs. As soon as Grove lets loose a big left hook, Konrad ducks it and slams Grove to the mat. Konrad stands back up, letting Grove return to his feet. The two are circling one another again like it’s a boxing match, but just for ten seconds. Konrad rushes in and takes his opponent down with ease once more, but this time Konrad doesn’t let him up. Konrad is working Grove over to the edge of the cage and Grove is doing his best to hook his opponents head and rolls to either side. Konrad sticks to his wrestling strength and moves into a full mount. Konrad’s got all 265 plus pounds laying on Groves chest and an escape does not look likely. Konrad is methodical, taking his time to throw a few left hooks and right hammerfists on the grounded Grove. Konrad goes after an arm, begins to work on a keylock from the mount. Grove taps out and the fight is over. Konrad is the new Bellator Heavyweight Champion.

Yea COLE!!! I went to bed early but made sure to set a recording for the 1:30 am airing on FSNorth.
Woke up before the kids did and watched Cole kick butt. :)
As one of Brock's training partners, I'm sure Dana White has his eyes on another Gopher!

That submission was great to see!! Kole's making some good progress under Marty.

I was a bit disappointed during Kole's first two fights in this tournament that I didn't see more elbows and submission attempts. This made up for it.

I was pretty surprised when they rolled out that check for $100,000. Isn't that a lot for MMA? I know he fought three fights in two months or something like that, but still.

I think Bellator is going to be a great place for Kole to hang out for a few years while he learns the ropes and trains with Brock and Marty. Just my two cents.

Looking forward to seeing Ben Askren next week at Bellator 33.

And about this thing with Fox Sports North, I think it's great that they had the card later in the night at a set time. During baseball season they started whenever the Twins post game ended and it made it almost impossible to tape. I'll take 1:30 a.m. over that any day, or night. :P

What about Bisch smiling for the camera. It's nice to see the boomtown boys on tv. Brian, I saw you walking around at the North-South game. Wanted to say Hi but lost ya.
