Last week our wrestling club had the privilege of having John Sundgren as it's sole clinician for a four day camp. The name should ring a bell with many Minnesota wrestling fans, as he won the NCAA Division II National Championship this past spring for St. Cloud State. Our camp had two groups of wrestlers (K-6th grade) & High Schoolers. John Sundgren did an excellent job with both groups. He did a great job explaining the technical aspect of the moves he was demonstrating and connecting with the kids through stories of the experiences he had. He was very accommodating for special needs of our program (areas that our wrestlers have had troubles, or new techniques we wanted to become more familiar with). He was very courteous and respectful to all the wrestlers, parents, and coaches. When asked him to be at camp at 3:45, he would be there at 3:30 and ready to work. Having never met John Sundgren prior to the start of our camp, but knowing he was a National Champion my expectations were high. Even so, he far exceeded those expectations, and our program has definitely benefited from the time he spent with us.

If you are considering bringing in a clinician I highly recommend John Sundgren. He can be contacted at: jsundgren157@gmail.com

Feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding my experience with John or need further information.

Thank you,

Erik
