My son is an 8th grader wrestling on varsity for a high school team in minneapolis, mn., what are the rules for him to be able to wrestle with his grade school team at the same time? I have researched and asked coaches and I have received different answers. I was told that his match count was the only rule. I have seen that in the handbook, I have been told that it has to do with his eligability for high school so he can't wrestle both but has to wait until after state. |

He can not wrestle any youth weekend events. He could have wrestled middle school matches during middle school but not sure why you would have a varsity caliber wrestler wrestling middle school. All jv,varsity, 9th grade league and middle school matches count towards you max of 36 going into sections. |
