I disagree- I doubt the coaches are going to pick their duals team based solely on how people finish at State FS/GR...State tournament or not- I would hope that the coaching staff looks at many otherthings like: amount of weekend tournaments attended- how the wrestler placed- who the opponents were- did they go to Junior State (if a cadet) did they go to Northern Plains- who did they defeat at NP- all those things should be considered, NOT just how they finish at Freestyle/Greco state- JMO
My son was on the Cadet team last year, and they made their selection after the State tournament. I'd say that it was based solely on how they placed in that tournament

yes, and my kid won both Greco and FS State yet shared his weight with another kid who wasn't even there- why ? because that kid could beat mine more often than not- so they shared the spot, taking turns wrestling at their own weight and also moving up, whatever the team needed at that point.....
the coaches are going to pick the kid with the greatest chance of helping the team win a National Championship- everybody need to check their ego's at the door- this one isn't about any one kid, and if he won State or not- it's about putting together the best TEAM

I believe McKee will be at 106. From what I understand some of the guys will be dropping down a weight from what they wrestled at state. I don't think there will be three guys at 132.

McKee is signed up at 101 for fila cadets. I could see him at 100. Sykora is to strong to not have on this team, and if McKee is down he is a must have at 106.

Sykora won the freestyle tournament in Georgia this past weekend.. If my information is right, he beat two state champions, one including Norstrem from Brandon, Florida. Norstrem took 3rd place at Nationals last season. Sykora was coming back from an injury two weeks ago.. It will only take time for him to get back into routine.

Some other ideas for 88 lbrs are:

Anthony Kern from Verndale, MN
Ryan Killeen from Elk River

I'm not sure how big these guys are now but they were 80 lbrs two (2) years ago. I don't have contact information for these guys. Hopefully the 88# slot is a slot that can be filled.

I hope Sorenson can make it, take some work load off of Pinto.

Some names I heard floating around from the mid to big boys
Moore
Westrich
Norland
Kelvington
Vitale
Richardson, Hope Danny and Wy can share some fights at 182 and make for some good stories.
Treptau
Weege
Pinto.

Second to third hand chat so do not take this as the holy word carved in stone. :)
I know my boy is going and wrote a check out. So that is the only kid I know for sure thats ready to CHA! CHA @ 182!

Heard some lilunits as well but like I say I have no clue if they are going or not. Wish list if any thing.

I know this lands on many schools football camps. Ours included but we decides to get some FRECO in Florida.
We will dearly miss a couple Toteno grace upper weight to the leather ball.

Should be fun to hear how it goes.

Any one know how many fights/matches they got last year in both styles? how many duals?

Not sure about any of the weights at all. I basically took Ground and Pound's team, and posted who I heard was going. If I didn't list a kid, it is because I don't know if they are going. As for Funk, I think that I must have just copied his weight down wrong from what Ground and Pound had put.

Is Rodriguez going, or are you just suggesting that he should go? I didn't hear his name as a person on the team, which is why I ask.

Hacksaw- I found out he was not selected. I guess i dont understand how its truely picked. He beat everyone in every tourny this summer and beat them pretty bad. Voss, beat him in State finals (free) and Nielson (spelling) and him were back and forth in the (Grecco) finals. Not bad for his first year wrestling free & grecco., Oh yea, his other loss this season was to Manville

I could put some unofficial names down with no weights by them.
First practice at Augsburg will get those numbers/weights for sure but thats up to the coaching staff.

Should have some great fun had by all down there, wish I could go.
Looks like they may have a few thunder "STORM"s when they arrive :) fitting!!!!
