Thanks to the clubs that have already stepped up!! :D

We still have open tables if your club is not listed below please contact me so I can reserve your table. We are looking for help from all clubs large or small. We can put a couple clubs at one table. Talk to your club leaders/coaches/parents about getting Volunteers for this event.
In order to wrestle your club must have a table as well as a Mat Official.
Need 3 workers at the table at all times and one to float in and out when you need a break.
All tableworkers need to be at their assigned table 30 mins prior to wrestling. Tableworkers will receive a shirt, admission reimbursed, food and drinks.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

I hate to call clubs out on the forum but I have some larger clubs that have not signed up to take a table at this time. If your club is not listed on the above Mat assignment and you have 10 or more wrestlers attending please step up to work a table each session. Remember in order for your wrestlers to wrestle and coaches to coach matside your club needs to supply table workers as well as Ref's.
Thanks in advance for all your help

According to Trackwrestling there are 82 teams represented in State Freestyle. There are 16 teams with 10 or more wrestlers of which 11 have not signed up for a table. In no particular order they are AV, Bloom, Central MN, Coon Rapids, Ghost Rider, Gladiators, Herakles, Lakeville, Northwest WC, Owatonna, Stewartville. Those teams add up to 175 kids that won't wrestle because their club did not take a mat.

Is that how it works? Maybe the registration fee should be higher so table workers can be hired to lessen the stress of running a smooth tournament. I can totally understand that parents are not wanting to work at a State competition when they are taking time off work, paying registration, club membership, travel, etc. I sure hope these 175 kids can wrestle! Surely that's not what USA Wrestling wants to happen.

If parents can take off time from work, pay registration, club membership, travel etc like you said, I'm sure they can also sit at a table or find someone in the family like a sibling or a friend that can score their kids or run a stop watch. Just need to take that one extra step. I agree, I hope these 175 kids can wrestle. I'm sure that's not what the parents want to happen.

Part of being in the "club" is expecting your coach/parents to follow the rules. Did your coach assign the parents working orders for this event? This is nothing new and it's almost irritating that clubs are still having these issues. Perhaps you can go to the coach of the club and ask him to put together something based on which kids are wrestling. Working the event doesn't mean you can't watch you kid wrestle either, they are really good about covering those times.
