Quick question for you.
My son was wrestling a tournament this weekend and had to drop out due to illness. I understand taking the loss for the match he was in but why does he have to then take the 2 losses for the matches he couldn't wrestle?

Also, last year the forums were alive with the Hall ID losses being removed by filing "the correct paperwork with the MSHL". If there is paperwork, what are the rules?

I am sure this is more important to me than to him but with being recruited and all I hate to see losses that he didn't deserve on his record and additional matches for match count.

Thanks for an answer and I appreciate the time you put into this to help us all understand the rules.

My understanding is that there is some paperwork that you can file ahead of time indicating that a wrestler may not be able to wrestle due to an existing injury. I have seen that a couple times where the wrestler withdrew during the first match and didn't have to count all the matches after that one.

I don't know of any paper work. You might want to contact MSHSL about said paperwork.
