Add Roman Bravo-Young, freshman from sunny side AZ, to the list to keep an eye on. Appears to have a good relationship with the Steveson bros. he is currently ranked #3 in the nation at 106 and finished 43-0 en route to a state title.

A small town MN kid to keep an eye on is Michael Suda. Freshman made it to the finals at 120A this season. Was the black hat recipient at one of jrobs camps last summer.

They interview SDSU recruit Brett Bye in the second video at the 1:45 mark. Frisch isn't interviewed in that one.

I just had a thought. Austin Goergen of St. Cloud was recruited under the premise that he would transfer to Minnesota after a year to get his grades up. That didn't happen, but do you think that there's any chance that he transfers to the U next season? Realistically Kroells is probably the better wrestler, and Goergen is doing just fine at St. Cloud but we could really use some depth there and he would be really good to have in the room.

Vincenzo Joseph, posted a 14-4 win at 152. Joseph (136-21), a two-time PIAA Class AAA champ and Penn State recruit, dominated Fredy Stroker (196-4), a three-time Iowa state champion and Minnesota recruit from Bettendorf High School.

Considering Stroker was jumping up a class to compete, I wouldn't put too much in the loss. In my opinion, when I watched it yesterday, it looked like he was giving up a noticeable size difference.

Not to mention, Short used to beat Sorenson pretty bad in high school as well. Sorenson has definitely turned that around. So can Stroker.

Kinda like when Sanders went to the dapper dan and wrestled Dolan (?)who was a weight class bigger. But sanders became a 4x AA and Dolan left college after two years..not an issue at all stroker can add the muscle and size in his redshirt year.

The takedown Joseph used on Stroker is an easy fix for the Gopher staff.

Speaking of Short, I was looking at the normal recovery times for his type of injury. 6 months until "normal" exercise and stretching can be done regularly. Ugh. Hope we get to see him back next year.

I think history has shown Dapper Dan results mean very little. However Joseph has a pretty good resume and I think he is going to be good. This isn't the first time he has beaten Stroker. He is one of the top guys in the nation. I think that result can easily change in the next year or two but I don't see Joseph falling off the face of the earth the way others have.

Seems like every time there is one of these Dapper Dan results the Pennsylvania guy dropped two weights using the 5 pound cushion and the out of state guy went up one...

Take all Dapper Dan results with a grain of salt.

A little proof, look below and tell me what Travis Shaffer or Nick Hodgekins did in college? They both beat multiple NCAA AA's and I have never heard of them since!

135–OW Travis Shaffer, Derry dec Hunter Stieber Ohio 7-2
112–Jordan Conaway, New Oxford dec Evan Silver New Jersey 3-2
189–OW Morgan McIntosh California pin Ryan Hembury, Muncy 2:59
130–Jesse Thielke, Germantown, Wisconsin dec Zach Horan, Nazareth 8-3
145–Nick Hodgkins, Wyomissing dec Alex Dieringer Wisconsin 7-2

Or it could be that both Stroker and Joseph are going to be very good, Joseph is just better at this exact time.

It is a wonder he didn't want to go to Iowa then?

Manville still Penn St.? Hall possible, but I can see him going elsewhere. White would be a good get. Keegan Moore probably UNI, although he did say on twitter he loves Minnesota.

What if we don't get any big names? Maybe Lizak has some friends he can convince to come to the Midwest! We need some studs that can ride and turn.

Those decisions wouldn't surprise me as Mark Hall has Metcalf in Iowa and a few friends like Gross and looks like he worked out with Marinelli this weekend who is committed to Iowa. Keegan going to UNI is what I'm betting on since his buddies and his brother is there, but I guess he could break the mold and choose another school.

I always thought for Hall Ok. St and now I'm thinking Ohio St. are more threatening than Iowa. He would fit in nicely with Snyder and Bo Jo as workout partners for a few years.

I wonder if Bo Jordan goes 174 next year---maybe one more year at 165 if Alex D goes up...but if Alex D stays 165, I can imagine Bo Jo going up as soon as next year.
