Penn State's "super class" goes 0-4 at Who's Number One. Guess Cael better get back on the recruiting trail.
Or maybe the folks at Flo who make the lists aren't as good at list making as they would like us to believe?

Or maybe it doesn’t matter as long as Cael loses.

Anyone have the insight into the 3 Seniors on the top 100 that haven't committed yet?:

113 (125)-Cashman--58
126 (125/33)-Gliva--83
138 (141-149?)-Eischens--80

Intermat's rankings
Any word on Teske? Are we in the running for anyone besides Lee?
Cashman has visited Ohio State and Cornell.

Eischens is taking official visits to Minnesota, Princeton, Columbia, and Stanford. A decision and announcement is expected by the end of this month.
It's too bad he didn't take his education seriously.

I hope he decides to stay home. MN does have a lot of really good programs, depending on his major of choice. Could be the best of both worlds. Compete at a high level in a power conference, for your home state. Hope it works out.

We have the #1 bookends in the country (McKee/Steveson), a number one midlweight (Brayton Lee) would cement this class.

Interesting how not to long ago plenty were on here clamoring for Teske or anyone else over McKee. After his Fargo run and now #1, McKee continues to respond well under high pressure situations. He’s got a little DNess in him.....always in the fight and can hit a big move at any time.

He and Brayton seem to be really close friends....would be awesome to bring him in the fold. The McKee boys are some of our best recruitment tools right now. Heck, patrick even loaned Gable his visor for the announcement.

I'm glad we have the McKee boys in our corner. Wonder if Mitch will eventually redshirt so he can have more time with his bro.

I think Mitch redshirting next year will partly be determined on how Lizak handles weight this year. If its a struggle I could see Petty at 125 and Lizak at 133 next year with Mitch redshirting.

Still saying you should get Teske if you can. I dont think anyone said to take Teske over McKee.

That's for sure! I'm curious to see this who's number 1 match with Howard.

Totally agree, get Teske if you can. As
For my reference to clamoring for options besides McKee....check out the middle of page(?) 106 of this thread to see what I was referring to....tags back to comment made in April 2017.

Didn’t specifically refer to Teske over McKee but you’ll get the gist

I love watching the McKee's and 90% of the other Gophers wrestle. They go out there and create action and score points. Give up 2, that's OK, I'll reverse you to your back and get 4. Great things coming in Gopher land.

Heck I live in Saint Michael and I cant tell ya how little McKee projects. I do know and have heard directly from Teske, that he is a career 125. Would things work out that we had Teske, McKee, McKee in the line up ?
Little Mac has surely upped his game and I look forward to him improving even more.

On FRL they said Brayton will commit Thursday. One Flo guy guessed he would choose MN, other three guessed NE. They mentioned that him and Patrick McKee were inseparable at who's #1.

I'd say it has to be down to those two as well. Great friends with McKee and also with Chad Red who coached him at WNO....tough to say what he does right now

Is this commitment going to be live? I'm just thinking of all the possibilities with class of 2019 when we already have a top 3 recruit with Kerk, this should open the flood gates if Lee commits.

Patrick McKee is not anywhere near ready for Big Ten wrestling at 125.

The coaches would be wise to bring in another top recruit to compete at 125.
Fargo Jr Freestyle Champ 2017.
I still stand by my comment. No disrespect intended.
Just won Who's #1, making him number 1 at the weight in the nation. If he isn't ready, who is? Are you referring to him being small if he were to try to wrestling in the Big10 this year?

Correct that is who coached him and has been his club coach since he was little. Red Jr. Is a RFR at Nebraska this season.

If the gophs land Lee, they'll have the number one guys at 120 (125), 152 (157) and HWT. When is the last time we've had three consensus number one guys like this? Honest question because I have been following for a short amount of time.

Well the year we got Mack Reiter, Manny Rivera, CP Schlatter & Roger Kish I think we had to have had at least 2 #1 overall recruits at their respective weights.

Matt Koz was also part of that class and #1 at 215 I believe.

I didn't look that closely at first, so I'm thinking that wouldn't' sway his decision much unless he was great friends with JR. We'll see soon!

Do you really think McKee and Lee are great friends? Or do you think Mckee is just doing everything he can to recruit him?🤔

Kish # 1 overall all weights
Schlatter # 1 145
Koz #1 215
Reiter # 3 at 119
Kuhlman Top 50 overall recruit
