Well the year we got Mack Reiter, Manny Rivera, CP Schlatter & Roger Kish I think we had to have had at least 2 #1 overall recruits at their respective weights.
Matt Koz was also part of that class and #1 at 215 I believe.
Yes Koz, and there was Kuhlman as well and Dretsch
Kish # 1 overall all weights
Schlatter # 1 145
Koz #1 215
Reiter # 3 at 119
Kuhlman Top 50 overall recruit
And Rivera came on to the scene after beating Mack at Senior Nationals.

I would guess a team was informed by him that they were out and then they countered with a higher offer causing him to revaluate.

Bummer hopefully the wait isn't long, but if it's the Gophers in the end he can take as long as he would like.

I'd say it has to be down to those two as well. Great friends with McKee and also with Chad Red who coached him at WNO....tough to say what he does right now
Chad Red Sr., correct?
Correct that is who coached him and has been his club coach since he was little. Red Jr. Is a RFR at Nebraska this season.
I know Red Jr. is at Nebraska. I just wanted to make sure it was simply Sr. there coaching him and Jr. wasn't with for the trip. Having your coach come with you is one thing, having his son/possible good friend who currently wrestles for Nebraska is another.

I think you are way too obsessed. Can I suggest Decaf?

He was picking Nebraska but then had so much fun with little McKee this weekend he's re-evaluating and choose MN!

Another factor may be where Sasso goes. Both him and Lee have VT and Nebraska on their final list, and I doubt they go to the same school.

For being in the best wrestling state in the country, Cael sure does seem to have to go far and wide for his talent.

Here’s how I see if. If they’re willing to wait to wrestle, that’s fine with me. Just gives our boys more opportunities.

How is Cashman rated #4 at 120 and Teske at #6 at 120 by Flo and Teske ranked #34 on senior big board and Cashman #65 by Flo?

What am I missing?

At this point I would have to say Cashman's stock is heading negative. He has been AWOL for a while. Some have said injury, others well that's just rumors. Plus the fact that he is skipping his senior season to train at the OTC as he announced cannot be impressing the recruiters much, but then again that is just my opinion. What's the upside to forgoing your senior season?

The Senior Big Board is more based on how they project that wrestler in college. I also do not think Cashman is a bit overrated in folk. Don't see him being as good as Teske, McKee, etc.

He did tear his knee up which kept him sidelined.

OTC for a senior season can have advantages based on where you go to high school IMO. A lot of these top level kids will wrestle a handful of truly competitive kids throughout the season. OTC can provide a boost in training partners and coaching depending on your situation. It did seem to work out ok for Kyle Snyder at least.

That being said, we have McKee so I wish Cashman well wherever he lands.
