Few years down the road

125 McKee
133 McKee
141 Future recruit
149 Lee, Marko, McIntosh or recruit
157 Lee, Thomas
165 Thomas, Recruit
174 need big-time recruit here KENNEDY?
184 Webster
197 Bobby another top Recruit here would be excellent. Sad Kerkvliet is a monster.
Hvy. Gable
Few years down the road

125 McKee
133 McKee
141 Jones, Gliva
149 Lee, Marko, McIntosh or recruit
157 Lee, Thomas
165 Thomas, Allar
174 Allar
184 Webster
197 Bobby, Joles seems like the kind of kid Eggum can coach
Hvy. Gable

That’s a lot of high AA candidates.
Is Mitch McKee going to be able to wrestle 133 for the rest of his career? I thought he would have to eventually move up to 141?
That’s a good question. He looks pretty cut this year. The international weights may play a part in this too.

I took the announcers comments on Marko to mean that he is probably currently a 141 that is in the process of bulking into a full 149.

Kerk should re-commit...between Olympic and Regular Redshirts....Gable and him could own Hwt. For 7 consecutive yrs...yes...they would both have to redshirt and there is a chance he would have to sit a year (unless he cuts one year)...
Would you want to sit a year if you were him?
Sit for a year?? Half of Penn State's line up is fine doing it.

Whatever. So then why don't you see if Gable would like to sit for a year.

And actually the blue chippers in that category don't. They may red shirt but that's it.

We'd all love Kerkvliet on the team, but he deserves four years as a starter. The sport needs it.

He can go the Mocco route. 2 for Ok St, 2 for the Gophers.

I agree with this 100%, I'm just a homer that wants him in maroon and gold.

Well done Gophers coaches! And Pat McKee and Gable for recruiting as well!
This.....so much this! I remember being bummed when the Gable/RBY “Package Deal” fell through.

The Gable/PMac combo is infinitely better for all us Gopher fans!

I wonder how Hunter Marko feels about this. He’s a guy that decommitted from Wisconsin, I’m sure with the understanding that he was going to be the man at 149 someday. Bleise has 2 years left and then is it Lee or Macintosh’s spot?
He should feel the heat to get better. Spots are earned not given .
^This. From what I've seen Bleise will move up to 157 next year with Marko being the favorite at 149. Brolsma, Champagne, Patton, Berg, pushing for spots while McIntosh and Lee redshirt. I think Lee goes straight to 157 after Bleise graduates.

I think there is a crop of future 125#s in state talent coming up in the very near future.

DI? List them.
I think sophomores Joey Thompson of Maple Grove and Paxton Creese of Shakopee will be career 125 pounders. Freshman Jaxon Rohman and Derick Cardinal too but they may grow too much.

Creese and Sokol are the only two that catch my eye(I'm sure I'm missing several) and I think Sokol will out grow 125 shortly. Creese also has a lot to prove, before I say DI talent.

I have followed Derrick through youth, I agree STUD. But I'll put him with Sokol, as they both will out grow 125. Sorry, I'm not that high on Thompson or Rohman. But, Ryder Rogotzke is a guy to watch!!(most likely out grow 125)

I agree on Sokol being too big for 125. Like i said Cardinal may grow as well. Rogotzky is just 7th grade and from what I recall his dad is pretty big so he has a while. I like Thompson and I think there is definitely potential for that kid. I watched his match vs Cardinal at JJ and Thompson dominated him. I disagree with you on Creese. I think he is coming into his own.

Confused

We agree Cardinal and Sokol too big. Rogotzke too big(7th grade, Venz and Berge won as 7th graders). You might be right on Thompson(I'm not sold). Creese, I think we agree?!? Maybe?? I think he will be a stud in DI, only a sophomore, I would like to see more results. That's all.

Berge and Rogotzky on two different levels in 7th grade. Not even going to compare. I am just saying I think Creese can do well versus national competition from his past results are any indication.

My point was Rogotzke and Berge are the SAME size as 7th graders. I think we are on the same page with Creese.

Lots of kids are and were the same size as Berge in 7th grade. I guess until the end of the season, any comparison is premature.

Ever since Storley had too much to drink at We Fest and swore that he would be cutting to 165 for his Senior year and I put it out there, (he later sobered up and remembered he didn't like cutting weight)
Careful, don't get me started.

Any recruit being called a must is hyperbole.

That being said, Kennedy is a great recruit and would be a huge addition.

On another note, Brayton freaking Lee signed with the Gophers!!!! This is going to be a great week.
