Pretty cool the Dream Team classic is at his high school this year. Him and Teemer will be an exciting match and bet it gets the crowd fired up.
Is the Dream Team classic broadcast anywhere?

Dream Team Classic 220

I'm interested in Whitman vs. Parris at 220. A 197 moving up and a future Hwt probably at this weight for the last time. Parris seems too big and powerful, but at the same weight who knows.

Indiana holding their own in most matches. USA currently leads 27-13. Alex Lloyd won 8-5. Brayton Lee coming up now.

Lee gets the win in ot, but the reffing was questionable. At least he called Lee for stalling to send it to ot.

Didn't waste any time with that blast double in OT. Nice!

He's kind of a counter wrestler and does seem to have gas tank issues, but it is the off-season.

Here's the Lee vs Teemer match. It might require a flo-pro login.

https://www.flowrestling.org/video/6177836-152-lbs-dual-brayton-lee-vs-jacori-teemer

Teemer got hit for stalling 3 times spread out over I think all 3 periods. Beetween the headgear, walking back to the middle, backing out of the circle on the start, and sprawling out of bounds, I'd say he deserved 2 but probably not the third. The ref, realizing he had put Lee ahead, instead of tieing the match, made 2 stalling calls on Lee in the last 17 seconds of the match. Quick, but I don't have a problem because it probably should have been tied anyway. Lee gets the td 3 seconds into the sudden victory overtime.

except for 1 Offensive attack in the 1st period Teemer had rollerskates on the rest of the match. Also, I hope someone at Arizona St shows him how to wear/fit a headgear on his head.

Two things stood out from the headgear weirdness:
1). Matthews offered Teemer his headgear after the second break. Teemer didn’t exactly jump at the offer and decided he would wait for the coaches to fix his. Found that comical.

2) Brayton immediately offered to ditch his headgear too to keep the match going. That sort of attitude is awesome!!

You could really tell how much this match meant to him and glad he pulled it off, clearly the aggressor throughout.

Also, Lloyd looked really good and am looking forward to seeing him wrestle for the Jacks. Match wasn’t as close as score indicated. He went for underhook to opposite leg and sorta fell into giving up the takedown.

I think Cashman has visited Iowa state and Iowa recently. Some Iowa state guys expected him to commit there by now, but still nothing.

I might be wrong, but I don't think Cashman commits to Iowa State. I have heard his name connected to Iowa State in the past, but not recently.

The only problem i saw with Carlson joining the gophers is that i think he will be a 141-149 in college and we're already very deep in that area. I think he's very very good but we can't have 1/3 of our team in that weight range.

Okay it's not exactly 1/3 but we are well loaded and have weights that we really need to purse.

I do wish him the best of lucky and i think Nebraska is getting a very good wrestler.

Isn't Nebraska pretty loaded at 141-149 too? I think he plans on going 133 to start with..

Very deep? How so? As of 2 years ago everyone was predicting that Stroker would still be at either 141 or 149 for the next two season. You can never have enough.

Look at PSU for an example....they have plenty of studs on the bench. Maybe not at 125-133 at the moment, but they will in the next two years when Teasdale, Young, Teske and eventually Busiello are on the roster for what is 2 weight classes. (I don't assume that any of them will beat N. Lee at this point and will have a hard time passing him up considering he spent his Sr. Year at the NLWC and just AA'd pretty high for a "true freshman"). We will see in the next year or two if Berge wasted a year or more of his elgibility sitting as I don't think he beats out Verkleeren in 18/19 and Joe Lee might give him a run for Nolf's spot in 19/20 as he has spent his Sr. Year wrestling at the NLWC too...plus he'll get a year of redshirting this year behind Nolf/Joseph.

Studs go there and sit. Maybe IA had this issue in the 70's and 80's with Gable, but with less teams now in D1 and D2, I wonder if PSU has a deeper well of "top 20" talent coming out of HS. Intermat did their final top 100 Seniors... 6 of 7 of PSU's guys were top 20. Minnesota had 2--Gable and Lee. McKee was next at 32 and Teske for PSU was at 37. To probably "equal" that level of recruiting, Minnesota would have probably had the following trade offs: Travis Wittlake-#2 (170) instead of Caden Steffen. David Carr #3 (152) instead of McIntosh. It would allow Lee and Carr to man 149 and 157 potentially. Wittlake would probably be 174 or 184. Gavin Hoffman #11 (195) instead of #87 Joles for 197. And probably #5 Joey Silva (132) instead of Gliva. Getting 6 of the top 20 means PSU has 30% of the top 20 wrestlers. With us already having 2 I had to kinda mix and match the 12 remaining guys to weights we recruited this year. Maybe not all pan out but excluding the six PSU got and trading our non-top 20 recruits (or at least 4 of them) shows how much different a recruiting class looks on paper.

Don't get me wrong, I hope all of our guys pan out and develop into studs that are all 4xAAs with some NC's in there too...the coaches have their work cut out for them, and although I am less optimistic when I see what PSU has and will be getting. I am hopeful we can steal a NC one of these years.
