We need to get, not try. We have a stud class coming in but we need to follow it up with another one. We've wiffed on 125 since sanders. We should have had a 174 redshirt in house already although all will be forgiven when we lock down Hall :) |

I think that Carr and Wright are good project guys who could turn into solid contributors, but I think that 174 will be a difficult weight for us next year. With our holes at 133, 174, and 197, I don't have high expectations for 2016. We could really use some JUCO help if there are any solid guys out there. 125. Petry 133. Brancale 141. Thorn 149. Short 157. Kingsley 165. Wanzek 174. Wright 184. Pfarr 197. Berge 285. Kroells |

It's not like we are the only school recruiting guys. When the staff belives in a recruit and is confident they can land him they continue to pursuit him. All three of the guys I mentioned, when they announced that they chose another school almost all the other high recruits at those weights were already signed. Hard to recover at that point in the recruiting process. Agree Hall is of the most importance. PBS- how big u expect Larry to get in College? I was in shock how much he towers over both white and Bey. |

I understand that other teams want good guys. The freshman class wrestling now is underwhelming. The true freshman Thorn looks good as any of the thorns so I'll take that. We might finally get a 125 out of that class too. Kroells and pfarr are both close to AAs but I do think we need to step up our game. Our incoming class should be really good we just need another year of another good class. |

Talked to PBS at the Clash and thanked him for sending Larry to the Gopher's. PBS said he coaching staffwant him at 165 lbs. Larry is tall and very skinny. He will have to do a lot of weight work |

Has it down to Minnesota, Penn State, Ohio State, Ok State, Wisconsin and one other school that I can't recall. This was his last publicly announced list. |

LE3 Maybe 157 during redshirt but likely 165 after. Over 6', no facial hair yet and has always spent more time/energy in the wrestling room than the weight room. Combination of his body maturing and coaches having him focus on more time/energy in the weight room could have him at 174 at some point. Flashback to JB in high school before physical maturity and dedication to a weight lifting program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xqGpdBiaaI Even though he's half a foot shorter his body looked similar to LE3's current body type. |

Any new kids give verbal commits to gophers yet from the 2016 class or does this happen after their state tourneys?? I guess I am wondering when Hall will commit? Obviously some kids like to do it early to get the process over with. |

How much work does Hall have to do to be a D1 174 lber? There's a high school thread going that shows him ranked at 74kg/163lbs for US Freestyle. Tells me he probably need about 15-20 pounds of muscle to wrestle 174 in college. |

Maybe ten at the very most, I don't think he's weighed in that low more than a year. He's probably just a little smaller than Storley right now. |

I hope Mark doesn't select the U Of M. I'm a big fan of Luke Becker, and many of the alumni, but there are too many reasons why the U of M would be at the bottom of the list for Mark. The expectations are too high for the fan base here and I still remember all the disrespect, anger and venom this fan base had had for Mark his 7th, 8th and 9th year. It was ridiculous! This fan base would turn on Mark in a heartbeat. |

You are speaking of the minority. Plenty of respectful supportive fans of Minnesota Wrestling. Every fan base will have high expectations for Hall as he will be the #1 overall recruit. Every fanbase can turn on an athlete. Plenty of reasons for Hall to become a Gopher. |

Awfully supportive for a forum bully. I think Mark is ready to go and I think Minnesota is a very real possibility. I think you can honestly narrow it down to 2-3 right now but kids do change their mind. |
