I don't think Gable is the only one thinking of coming. We have had a couple of guys that have asked for their releases looking at Minnesota. I'm thinking Gable will be announcing within a few weeks, the sooner well would help recruiting. The others depend on their release but I'm being a couple new recruits in the next month.

I think Allar and Gable will stop the bleeding of our best talent going out east. I really think Berge should look again at Minnesota. He knows the feeling of taking a programs to a new level with his brother at high school.

Is Owen Webster going to be a gopher next season after a year at Augsburg? McKee has a picture with him on Instagram captioned "can't wait to wrestle with you next year in maroon & gold"
Whose bigger Webster or Steveson? I don't recall either being tall 84s..

My understanding is Webster doesn't cut for 184. Could be 174 or 184.

Link Steffen,

1992 and 1993 Class A State champion out of Granite Falls/Clarkfield....

IF you didn't notice, he led the #4 seeded Zumbrota-Mazeppa team to a state title over a few teams that thought they were gonna be champs. And several of their guys were pretty tough...he might be under the radar, but he's probably getting some good coaching :)

He was also a DII national champ at SMSU and I have it on good authority that he used to eat fried chicken before every match and that he was also a pretty good baseball player for the mustangs. To be fair, his statement still holds water. There's no reason that he couldn't jump levels in the right system with the right people behind him and there are probably places where he could end up not doing as well.

I have seen this team from filling in last minute for a Clash spot to state champions.

Link has done an amazing job getting his 4th seed team ready to face the Frazee #1 seed at state. Their upper weights reminds me of KMS during the Steinhaus era. Winning the state title this year is just the beginning. I think their program is healthy for several years. Congrats Zumbrota.

How is it even possible the Gophers don't have 1 top ten recruit at any weight from out of state?

This even goes back to J 2 seasons ago. Sure, Stroker and Early were good but even they weren't next level recruits. I just don't get it.

This next few months will define the Eggum tenure.

Was just trying to create conversation so do u think that he has nothing more to learn?

I'm surprised they have Verk seeded as low as 4th.. isn't he ranked #1 in the country.. also I noticed that Cameron Coy is seeded #1 at 152.

PA has two seeding criteria:

1) win/loss record for the current year (Verkleeren's 26-1 record is 2nd best at the weight).

2) state/region placement in the previous year; apparently Verkleeren did not place in last year's PA state/region tourneys)-- 3 of he guys a his weight are returning place winners and that pushed him to the #4 seed.

Intermat's rankings are irrelevant to the seeding.
