He's to good for Drexel and as we've seen, it's never to late to change your mind. Hopefully Minny plays dirty like the rest and keeps recruiting until there signed.
Weren't you the same guy who said we need parity? Parity means guys like Desanto going to Drexel is a good thing.

Have you heard something or is that just a guess because of his dad? I was hoping to see him as a Jackrabbit, but that would probably be a good fit for him if he wants to go DII.

Yes but Drexel don't count :D

I'm not sure I even knew Drexel had a wrestling team.

I remember watching Foxcatcher and seeing the Schultz brothers working out at Drexel and thinking, "hey, I didn't know that Drexel used to have a wrestling team." Until Desanto I thought that it had gone away a long time ago.

Is there a list of the NHSCA winners?

I don't think there is any doubt we need both the top Minnesota talent and national talent to be successful. Just wondering who are some of the top kids to go after.

It had long been said that N.Y. had great individuals, but not teams. Who are some from N.Y. that we might pursue that was at this tournament?

the only news is that he did decide to get his release from ISU and explore other options. that was his latest tweet on March 23rd.

Jared and his parents are taking their time on this decision. They are going to come for a visit the 2nd week of April. To answer PoorWrestler the next open period for signing is April 12th. But signing remains open until August. Just had dinner with them at the Pittsburgh Classic. I feel pretty confident that they will come to the U, but I can't say 100%. I really would like him and his family. They are a good people and a good fit. Patience is the word of the day.

If Bobby goes up, I hope he bulks up and continues being aggressive...I think he could do well, probably will be a pretty active 197lber. If Benick does come to the U, hope he can make 184.....if he doesn't--I would think Dylan Anderson--RFr. would probably be the starter at 184 or B. Krone--Jr. There are some weights that aren't that deep, after looking at the roster...

My guess for 2-3 deeps:

125-Lizak-Jr./Petry-Jr.
133-McKee-So./Polakowski-Jr. (Jones redshirting)
141-Thorn-Jr/Volk-Jr/Brancale-So. (Bergeland redshirting)
149-Marko-RFr/Brolsma-So/Berg-So/Patton-So. (hopefully JV redshirting)
157-Short-Sr./Champagne-RFr. (Crowe Redshirting)
165-Wanzek-Sr/D. Wright-Jr (Allar Redshirting)
174-Pfarr-Sr./Rothers-Sr/Carr-Jr. (Supposedly Webster Redshirting?)
184-Krone-Jr./ Anderson-RFr... Don't know who is better at this weight? Probably depends on who bulks up the best. (Would assume Benick-RFr.? if he transfers cuts and gets down to this weight) T. Schneider-Sr could also figure into 184?!?
197-Steveson-So/Balow-Jr./Lunde-Jr.
Hwt-Streifel-So./Rose-Sr.

I think several guys made big progress---125/33/41/57/65/74/84 improved...
No offense to the guys I have listed at 149, but don't see a NQ from the 3 on the roster now--for the 2nd year in a row. 184 could be a crapshoot with B.S. up a weight. Krone wrestled a bit late in the year there, Anderson is an unknown quantity and same goes for Schneider--he was listed as a "Sr." this year, so maybe he was redshirting...maybe he'll be in the hunt next year if he's back. Benick would be a step up talent wise I believe if he was lean and motivated. Maybe guys like Anderson and Streifel turn into legit D1 starters...I hope so as it would go a long ways toward improving the lineup altogether. All 4 incoming guys (and Webster if rumors are true) should redshirt...as well as any late commits.

If Thorn's goal is to win it all, he seems to have a better chance beating Heil than he does Rutherford. Better chance he'll stay down at 141 for at least another year.
