Ness X2, Dardanes X2, Sanders, Tony Nelson. Greco guys. Who else is going?
Nelson is my sleeper pick to win it all. Joe Rau too.

I have kind of a weird question. I know there was a female who competed under the Storm a cycle or so ago. I can't come up with the name, off-top. But, are there women training in Minneapolis? I have a feeling we'll continue to see more as there have been more age-level opportunities.

I understand when setting up the brackets, they put the wrestlers in according to their seed- which in the 98K bracket, puts all 3 of the Mn Storm guys in the bottom half- :ermm:

At 59K, LaValle is wrestling Fuenffinger first round, Fuenffinger is now with WCAP. He and Ryan Mango are apparently no longer with the Storm. I think 59 K has the most WCAP guys in a bracket, there are 7 of them-

You're probably thinking of Ali Bernard, from New Ulm.
She is no longer competing.

The Storm has a lot of very talented female wrestlers,
none are of age/experience to compete at the Senior level just yet.,
I know there is a group that trains at Augsburg on Sunday afternoons...

It is a easier weight IMO but he is too small for 75 KG he needs to cut the weight

I think 66kg is a tough cut for him. He was cut to shreds last time he made 66 with the allowance. Just speculation on my part.

So the Bill Ferrel tourney was not scratch weight? There was an allowance?

Tough to be a tweener with so few Olympic weights.

Couldn't agree more, they need to add 70 KG to both Freestyle and Greco

Yeah I am pretty sure they were given a kilo. Not sure if this weekends is a scratch tourney or not.

When athletes plan out their training cycles they should split them and give themselves 3 days to taper and 3 days to make weight and 2 days to recover from the cut then start training again. So instead of one big cycle there are two smaller ones with a taper and a cut in the middle so they know where they need to be for weigh-ins. I'm not saying anything specific about any athlete, just a best practice theory.

The Bill Ferrell (NYAC), The Sunkist, The Schultz, the Storm Cup, etc- as well as many tournaments overseas, all give a 2k allowance (well, it was 2K before the weights shifted- 55k=57K etc). Maybe it's only 1K now, IDK- but The US Open does NOT.

I just checked the US Olympic Trials site. I'm fairly sure Jayson Ness and Matt Muellners from Nebraska have qualified but they are not listed. Am I wrong?

I'm sure it will be updated after this coming weekends Last Chance Qualifier, which is being held in Cedar Falls on Friday/Sat/Sun Aprl 1st-3rd. Greco on Friday, FS on Saturday, Womens on Sunday.....

After the final qualifiers are added, I'm sure we will be able to see the final list of all the names....

$20 gets you the month. Not that bad in my opinion and they should be compensated for what they do right?

Its not just the money, its the people...I guess if you can stomach listening to Bader and company, then go for it. Personally, i do not, and will save my money. JasonBryant, i would pay to listen to. JMO
