I was showing a group of wrestlers a double armbar. (I actually hate this move and was showing it as part of a armbar defense series) One stated that you could no longer clasp hands on a 2x AB? another said you could. I know that youth wrestlers are not allowed to sit out when finishing the 2x AB but I had not heard anything on the High School front. Just looking for some clarification. RBA |

The "youth can't sit out on an arm bar" rule, comes from MN/USA. Other youth open tournaments may allow it (or just not call it).

But as for High School school rules? I talked with an official last night he confirmed that odds are the hands went forward to a potential dangerous and he concluded (in his infinite knowledge and understanding) that you cannot lock hands anymore. Just looking for clarification before it cost him a match. |

There is no such rule in high school. You can lock your hands in the middle of the back. there is always the chance for a potential dangerous with or without the hands locked in the middle of the back. |
