When a wrestler is put in the wrong position and wrestling has continued like start of 3rd period or 2nd 30 sec tie breaker or in the ultimate. Or if after 2nd injury wrestler was not given choice or after 2nd stall call wrestler not given choice on next restart. If wrestler was given wrong position in 2nd period that is correctable by giving choice in 3rd. The ones listed above don't allow for the correction and thus is considered bad time. Another situation is when wrestling continues following a violation that should have stopped the match. Like calling stalling on top wrestler but not stopping it. Bad time means all points, penalties, injury time is erased and the match is started back where the bad time started. Things that are not erased during bad time are flagrant misconduct unsportsmanlike conduct unnecessary roughness illegal holds and blood time Edited by WrestlingOfficial, Jan 19 2016, 06:58 AM.

Side question, what ability are refs give to allow a match to continue if the match clock is not running (by accident). you know "clock! CLOCK! CLOCK!" time? |

If a scoring situation is happening referees will allow that to continue as best as possible and then based on their judgment and the judgment of table workers will make a best guess as to how much time expired. We are not required to get buy in by the coaches but often times will do so. |
