In our match out wrestling shot a takedown. Got behind the other guy, but they were on there feet. As we tried to return him his hands came down and touched the mat. Is this 2? Then the guy cleared away from us. I thought it was 2, but the roof said he had "balance checked". He said this is a new rule. |

No idea what balance check is never heard of him. In high school we do look for hands down beyond reaction time. In college as soon as hands touch it is 2 but high school waits for beyond reaction |

"balance check" sounds like a test by the highway patrol, usually administered in the early AM hours. |
