Wow! Jeske match must have been insane!
It was entertaining.
At one point he is tech'd, did MN win a challenge? Then he comes storming back...

Thanks, Iowan. Track is frozen up for some reason. The must have lost connection to the mats.

Yeah, track froze on me too so I started doing updates
. The guy Peterson wrestled tried to do a flying monkey and lost 4 on the exchange - then Peterson laced ankles for 4 more and it was over.

Yeah, that was awesome. Beating OK in OK to get a better slot in the Gold/Silver Pool is great.

I guess the first round of the color pools are yet today. Not sure when because they have to get some true second duals in...

I came over here for results when track froze. I read the entire thread. Villalobos is a cadet who was a soph. at 195 who did not qualify for our h.s. State tournament. Who is the 100lb. stud someone mentioned?

Illinois looks tough, they just boot stomped OK, forfeited last 3 weight though...isn't the goal to get matches in too?

McKee dropped a close 14-8 bout to Sam Sasso from PA in the Gold/Silver first round dual. Drawing Gfeller and Sasso in one day is a tall task.

Why no Gable or Cashman on the team?

And Venz should be a Gopher!

Hidlay punched himself in the face at least 5x after that. That was painful to watch, for him. Uffda.

How did Jeske get stuck? I'm just seeing it on track, so I don't get to see the important things haha

Was in a turk & butcher (what we call the two holds, where I'm from), tried to roll through. Hit a HUGE bridge, but got planted right on his back and fall was called.

Flo coverage is CRAP for this event. Here we are in a big match and they have volunteers running the camera.
kidding. I like the Okie old timer.
What's up with the Pen kids punching themselves and the mat?

Good win, especially considering Jones and Jeske getting pinned, and Mitch dropping one.

Agree about Venz. He was looking Brett Pfarrish out there today.

I love Venz. He's a very physical wrestler. I think NE got a great wrestler. I too, wish he had been a Gopher. :(

I have no idea, but does their membership on the world team preclude their participation in these duals?

Good win, especially considering Jones and Jeske getting pinned, and Mitch dropping one.
McKee was up at 145, Sammy may be a 138 pounder as well but he didn't weigh in there. He would never make an excuse but I'll take Mitch in a rematch where they both weigh in together, his squeeze strength rivals Ivan Drago's punching power.

Jones was one of those "things happen" in international style matches, it wasn't a bad call but it was a freak pin during a rollthrough Brent was controlling.

Jeske was wresting an absolute hammer, the kind of kid that people from PA probably would have said "with Hong losing we still won" had things went differently.

These tournaments are a ridiculous grind, you'll notice lots of teams rolling in reinforcements that didn't battle through half a dozen greco matches before starting the freestyle tournament, Gfeller and Fix for OK are as tough as anyone and neither made weight or grinded out 4-7 Greco matches.

In the PA dual starting out with 24 points for guys named Gliva and 3 for guys not named Gliva was nice, Bergeland stayed on a terror and Epps and Allar both had very nice wins. How about Peterson wrestling every match at 100 for the the team in both styles including the clincher against OK today, tough!

I'm just glad it's Saturday tomorrow so I can continue my binge watching without people at work bothering me...

Michigan Blue around 9am and then Ohio following by a medal match, sleep well and get ready for battle tomorrow team MN!
