Unranked (not in top 20) Dubov who beat Dennis, has two quick TDs against the world champion from Georgia who is heavily favored.

If he pulls the upset, Dennis is back in.

He lost it. Georgian scored 8 straight and won, Dennis is out.

Geduev who beat Burroughs is getting beat 4-0 by the Azerbaijanian after two first period takedowns. He needs to comeback or Burroughs will be out as well.

4 point TD by Geduev makes it 4-4. Azerbaijan challenges and loses now 5-4, and the Russian is taking an immense amount of blood time.

He won, but definitely is benefiting from these 30 minute long contests, hope he loses in the finals.

Burroughs will wrestle for Bronze at 2pm.

Session 2 is at 2pm. Burroughs should be up a few minutes after 2 pm.

Right, should have clarified that. Especially considering what just happened.

Hope he makes one more run at it in 2020. He will be 32.

I think Dake (and possibly Taylor) just started planning their weight class drop.

Sad. Love Jordan Burroughs. Not just because of his wrestling prowess on the mat, but he seems like a really good person that is a good role model for my kids.

There's gotta be something else going on. Did he get deathly sick in Rio? Does he have mono? Was he concussed?

He's not over the hill & still as strong, quick, explosive & dominant as he's ever been, but there is no way he was 100%. I think if it was a physical injury he could have powered through it. That's why I think it's a sickness of some kind of concussion.

This is all speculation...

PS. With flow not being down in Rio it's tougher to get the inside scoop on that type of stuff.

That was a great match (besides the blood time). The Iranian came back with some great TD's to secure the gold.

IMO, he just didn't get it done. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yep, Sometime you just lose, because the other guy wrestled better. JB may have felt the pressure to win 3 matches and get 500K plus maybe a million more in future endorsements. We may never know.

Trackwrestling.. J'Den Cox is up 3rd on Mat B

Sadulaev is up on Mat B now so it's worth switching to that mat if you're not already there.

Tech for Sadulaev 10-0

Up now: Zbigniew Baranowski (Poland) vs Sandro Aminashvili (Georgia)

On Deck: J`den Cox (United State) vs Amarhajy Mahamedau (Belarus)

J'Den Cox looked great - advances to quarters with 7-1 win. Wrestled aggressively from whistle to whistle. He is the quickest wrestler I've seen so far in these Olympics.
